Nice to see that Bloodwing is doing well.

And uh, I guess now we go through that thing where we find the person in charge and kill them.
Except don't kill them because this lot don't seem to actually have tried to kill us which is nice. Maybe they can help us enact delicious revenge on the yellow woman.

So... we should probably do that quickly. We haven't seen Iris for a few updates.

Well they are trying to cure us, I wouldn't call that much different than trying to kill us.

But sure +1, don't kill them, yet. Get what we can from them, but these people are likely no different from the rest.

Well I mean sure to us the players it's no different, but to Zero (the human not the worm) it really is. Could probably get off war crimes/terrorism charges in fact, since nobody actually knows what effects the worms have on a person's mind.

As for them being no different, we know that the people here tried to help at least one person, and arguably 3.

Well I doubt we would get off scot free after being cured, you have seen what they did to towns we have been in.

Plus I don't think think they will help us in any revenge sort of way. They didn't offer this cure, they tried to force it on us.

Seems their help is more so the can save themselves from us and "for our own good", I don't like that type of help. Is dishonest.
This one guy could be saying anything to save his own ass, seems a tad naive and idealistic of him and us for believing him.

We will see once we capture these people, see what they have, learn what we can. Until then.

Sadly, you simply can't find the leader of this place and murder the everloving shit out of them, seeing how the last few hours have been spent on evacuation.
Your pet scientist is the only capture. Even the patients are gone.
Whuf. Kind of a waste of time, innit? However, now you just need to leave and get back to the ship to let TW recover. that, and you kinda wanna see how Iris is doing.
After an amount of time most call too long and some call fucking bullshit, you manage to find the exit. Snowflake ended up having to lead you out, and even then, by the time you found the way out Diane was done being drugged.
TW is still out of it. And by it, I mean dimension.

Of course, when you get topside, military resistance was kind of to be expected. No wounds, but they got mighty close. The whizzing sounds near your ear makes it clear that they're pinning you down, but of course your horde is still downstairs, ready for chomping.

Send in the ankle biters and commons and maybe the bear. Have spitters cover them. If possible do it while they aren't firing.

Depends on plans afterwards. If we're going to be doing something non-combatative after this a charge lead by rage wouldn't be a bad idea.

+1

Maybe we could get Bloodwing to bring us some worms and have our brutes throw them in an arc so that we can soften them up with "mortars" first.

Or maybe we could get him to find us a fish and try zombifying that. Who knows what that would do? Maybe the fish would turn into flying piranha!

The anklebiters and commons give a huge rush, covering the bear with a collection of flesh. Most of them get slaughtered, but the short stature of ankle biters and the somewhat disconcerting form of them helps getting them there.
The spitters do their job as well, melting through the armor and taking out the people in back. Of course, they quickly fall back like sensible people and mow down the remaining commons.
Still, the spitter attacks remain deadly as all hell, and bear is hard to stop with nothing but small arms fire. The ankle-biters still get in some anklebites, so soon the small platoon of military people is taken care of.
Still it took more common zombies then you gained from that, so you probably need to sneak your way out.

A screech, followed by a scream and wild firing comes from behind the counter. You see the wings of Bloodwing flapping about, and a military dude currently dealing with the loss of eyeball juices in a logical way.
Which is to say, he screams like a little girl and falls down to die from shock. Bloodwing hops around on the desk, looking proud.
then he flies back down to peck away at the face of the savaged soldier, because that darned bird is still hungry.

Good job BW. Remember to keep that thing in mind if we need to intimidate people.

You proceed to activate your stealth protocols, which is to say you stick to quiet spots and order your zeds to stop groaning, moaning, splattering or whatever other noises dead people make.
The journey back to the ship is not without issue, as you meet a military checkpoint along the way. Sneaking past it is simply not much of an option, especially with TW starting to come back into this dimension again.
Evidently, that does not happen without some pain guessing from her occasional groaning or, more rarely, screaming.
So, you needed to devise a plan. Spitters on the roof seems to do some work, and you try to send in Bloodwing to kill their sniper.

A tell-tale BANG fills the air, as Bloodwing falls. You quickly catch the bird, but he isn't moving. Fortunately, it's only a perforated wing, no bones hit. It should heal up, adn the being dead thing should prevent shock from setting in.
Still, That sniper is going to ruin your day, so you try to shoot him down. You shoot twice, missing quite badly both times, and after that he's got his sights on you and is sending  some infantry to move in.
You are hiding behind a dumpster, with your zeds behind a corner, and your spitters on a roof. He'll take their head off if they try to pull anything without some type of distraction.
Well this is a fine pickle, death approaches.
