You start a little looting party ,and get Diane some armor. It's a bit snug, but it will probably help. Loot includes arms and some-such now, so you get some food out of that as well.
After that, you get a little "hell yeah motherfucker" vibe going, and just charge right on through while the military is disorganized. Your charge is successful for about five streets. Admittedly large streets, but still only five. After that, the military managed to reorganize and built up a defensive wall of bullets and general unpleasantness. Still, you did manage to increase your horde once more and by your estimates, not many civilians are left. You divert the horde, and then take a little while to remove that bullet out of your arm. You use a combat knife from one of the dead soldiers and pry the stupid thing out, before binding it with some gauze you found in a wrecked ambulance. (Why do people always manage to wreck their cars while dealing with the undead?)

So that leaves you with a quarter or so of town left. Will you attempt to overthrow the last blockade, or will you leave for grayer soon to be filled with red pastures?

Overthrow the last one. Use brutes pushing buses for cover to get close and then bum rush them with normals hidden behind the buses.

Let's have a quick experiment; see if REGULAR zombie bites create biobombs, and if so, distribute the worms among any zombie that appears to have higher than average intelligence. Instruct them to throw them at any cluster of soldiers they encounter.

Alternately, just bite all the worms and distribute the biobombs.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Maybe we could put Diane and Theresa up on roofs nearby with rifles and fire down on the defenders at the barricade.

Lets see if there are any heavy weaponry a rocket launcher or something similar to destroy any large groups of soldier that aren't worth the loss of zeds.

I support using a large push to break the barricade, preferably using one of our tactical edges, such as brutes moving large objects or throwing biobombs.

+1.

Also, list Diane's armor status so we know when it's time to upgrade/replace/augment.

I say combine the aforemented proposals of heavies with buses and biobombs.  Do we still have any birds?  I suppose not, but we could infect some and use them as bombers sometime.  Biobombs really seem to be one of our greatest assets;  incorporating them into most plans can't hurt.
So.  Push buses, have a heavy or two give covering fire with biobombs (they'll be able to throw them far, right?) and supply other zeds with 'em.  When we beat the military, look into getting transport,  we can't be leaving behind most of our horde whenever we go someplace new.

is there still some zombies in the sewer if so find them, give them biobombs, have some of the zombies charge then have the ones in the sewer sneak up behind the solders.

Find a couple of buses wasn't easy. You had to search quite far, leaving the military time to up their defenses. While you were searching your little experiment to see if normal bites cause biobombs.
You give a worm to one of the zeds next to you. He eats the damned thing. The second time, you give it some clear instructions and give him the worm.
He bits it, it swells up to a bomb.... and then he eats it. You get some distance between you and your zombie so he can blow up on his own. The trademark splat is heard a bit later, and he seems to be lacking his belly when you get closer to him again.
When you find a bus, you get the brutes to start pushing. They are strong enough to remain at a good speed, so you get back to the military barricade in a nice amount of time.

Your companions are on the rooftops, Diane standing ready with her rifle and TW is going to throw stuff with telekinesis or something. She'll improvise.
You give your zombies some bombs, and get going on the plan "Get some skinless idiots to push buses while we throw dead worms at the military with covering fire from thinly veiled references to ponies or some crap".
Or, in short GSSITPBWWDWATMWCFFTVRTPOSC.
The plan goes good at first. The bombs cause panic and general disarray, while your companions up above shoot stuff or throw telekinetic rocks.
Once you get close enough, and you are out of bombs? Then the real fun begins.
You charge forward with your horde. The military isn't super jazzed about that, especially seeing how they just had to shoot their half-melted friends. Most just start running, other fight like cornered rats.
They die like rats too.

After a decent scuffle, the military is retreating en masse. Your horde has grown again, and the spoils of war are at your disposal, nice and fresh.
Which is to say, you've got armor, weapons, meat and vehicles. This leaves you quite well-equipped.
However, the most special part of all the loot, is a message from the company that made you and TW.
They have a base close-by. At a barn in the middle of nowhere. Under one, to be precise.

Great revenge time again, lets gear up on some more bio bombs while chasing down any remaining survivors in the area, and lets armor as many of our zeds like putting helmet on our brutes to make them more unkillable.
