I knew you would love to change things a bit. But we need a motive to do so. Maybe instead of a museum it can a a school like the last time? Or, I don't know, a mall, maybe? A mall can be a good place to start an outbreak.

A look into the mind of Diane?
Now there's something fun.
The prospect terrifies me. So sure, why not.

Guys and girls.
In every single zombie infestation, they lost due to not being able to focus on the main target.
So far, we have only dealt with local infections.
We havent made a global wide infection plan yet.

Things are simpler than you make them like: Remember when we infested that water purification building and we infested various villages in a extremely low time?
Well, now we will do similar:
We shall spit on every single ant hive in the country! We will put zombies to spit and infest everywhere. We shall make sure our infested ant colonies survive and prosper, conquesting more hives further as they go.
Birds and other animals will eat the ants, getting infested too, then the true madness will begin: Send the infested birds to collect worms 24 hours a day, seven day a week. Since they dont need to rest anymore, they will eat half and give you the other worms.
With the worms we will make bio grenades and give them to the birds who can travel fast and far away (Migration) (They said they cant infest directly, but they can use our grenades!) who will travel far away and drop them over the citizens all around the world, and also infesting more animals.
And we also will start fishing... With infested worms, infested fish!

We shall rule Sea, Sky, and Earth! We will infest the big pillars of human economy, we will remove their main sources of food (No birds, no meat, no fish)

Not to say, that in many zones they probably dont acknowledge of our existance... Who will be expecting some birds to bring the apocalipsis?
And one cant simply lock himself in a steel room with no enter or exit, humans need sustenance. They exit? Our birds will fall over them with a rain of death, our ants will infest them while they sleep, our fish will bite back the fisher.

How will we survive?
We will make farms. Not only of humans, but of every single useful animal. Non infested cows, sheeps, bunnies. Everything that may helps us get sustenance. Also someone once said that we needed 498 (Or along the lines) humans for no inbreed.
What do we care about inbreed? They re food! If they re stupid, better. They wont rebel. Also in hospitals they usually keep... ehm... Baby production material, we shall collect those.

No more kind leader, that hasnt worked. We will rule them with a fist of iron. Each person will have their own zombie bodyguard, who will stop them of doing anything smart stupid. They will go naked if needed (To make sure they dont have weapons or stuff). They will be forced to breed, and overall, we will not permit them to suicide in any way. Get an pair of banshees, menace anyone who rebels not with death or infestation, but with ETERNAL PAIN.

Friends, dark days are ahead for the humanity.

But we're not dealing with global plans yet. This is a narrative, and while it's not entirely planned it's reasonable that it'll progress from individuals (right at the start), to small groups, to larger hordes, to town-sized armies (current stage), to region-sized armies, to nation-sized armies, to WORLD DOMINATION.

Well, the target is the final domination and survival of the zombies species. Why should we risk our non-life that of those that follow us once and once again in endless fights, when we can cause a chain reaction that will conquest the world simply by spitting at some ants?

Oh, and, we already had 3000 zombies once, not to far since the beggining, and we somehow lost them all. We plummet from having 3000 Zombies (Around what we have now) to nothingness. If it wasnt for Snowflake back then, we wouldnt be alive dead !!potato!! at all.

And this isnt so different:
First we control an ant hive. Then we control the world.

Also, about Diane, tell her that we feel something for her (I let other people choose words) and tell her that if she becomes a smart zombie we will be able to be together forever :P

She said she doesn't want to be a zombie, so no.

Well, then we should consider removing them off the path once they re no longer useful. Normal humans age, and being with them is risky, overall the elf.
Come on guys, we infected 3000 innocent people, we have bitten a girl in the head, we forced a dad to kill his daughter, yet you have feelings agaisnt killing those two?  For now they are useful, but later or sooner, they will stop being. A elf (If they keep their mythical longevity) may last more, but what will we do with Diana once she is 80 years old? She will be a waste of food that could feed our empires.

Oh and we still have one worm left. If transforming her is not a chance, we should use our one right now, we can attack laboratories. If we can upgrade zombies to keep more memories after transformation, we can force scientist zombies to tell us how to make more, then we will have an indefinite source of them.

Supporting characters are important to a story.  There's a reason virtually all tales have them.
At this point, without Diane, Mrs. Nukeelf and THESECRETORGANISATION that made us (what happened to those guys, anyway?)  the story would devolve into us eating city after city.  That's it.  Now, though I'm sure the storyteller would introduce new characters and plot points to keep things interesting, that kind of makes removing Diane pointless.
TL;DR:  having the supporting characters around makes everything more interesting.  Removing them would be like adding a difficulty setting to Dark Souls.
Just my two pence.
+1 to !!SCIENCE!!.  We should try out spitting on ants.
Then He world.

Fine guys we dont kill Diane.

Its still weird though. You have no ploblems in sending a poor girl whose lover we killed to run with zombie clothes to warn a city that its gonna be water-zombified.
You have no ploblem in having killed hmmm 4000-6000 persons.

Anyways, two votes for massive ant spitting!

And i didnt mean killing Diane now. But consider it: We dont age, she does.

We don't know that we don't age. We have not yet existed long enough to know just what is going to happen to us in the long run.
