Where do they come from then? So i know which way to avoid?

He ends up telling you that the zombies usually come from the abandoned factory nearby.
After that, you hear some screams from inside their walls and then man jumps off the barricade.
You hear a shot while you are driving away from the town. So infectees are there, that  should make it easier.
Along the way you see a pond filled with all sorts of birds. You'll come back there later.

When you finally arrive,  you all get  out of the van and knock on the big metal doors of the factory.
You hear nothing for a while, untill you hear the load stomps of.... Something.
A brute opens the door, he gets ready to punch you but notices who you are.... somehow?
He looks surprised and responds to the order to lead you to Katey.

You follow him through the large metal factory, there's a lot of blood covering the walls.
You finally enter the largest room  in factory, with a makeshift throne in the back.
There is a figure on the throne, who rises up and rushes off.
Before you could fully realise it Katey gives you a Tackle-hug. It knocks you off your feet.
She keeps hugging you for a full minute before you decide to cut it out and start talking to her.

Why are undead mind-slaves so adorabloodthirsty? Also pretty impressive, we never built ourselves a throne. Or took a whole city either. We kind of suck at this compared to her, who is a child.

Anyway, ask her how things went while walking around on a tour. Get Diane, Sasha and Bennie out from the van too. Maybe bring a small guard group too.

Ooook, Katey, get off now. She complies, and looks at you in a heart-meltingly adorable way.
Look, i am going to give you a present, I'll go get it outside, okay? You can play with Sasha over here until I'm back. She's our hostage, so don't hurt her. Diane, the nice girl over there, will keep an eye out.
Okay, please come back soon. I really, really missed you.

You step outside while she walks over to Sasha and Diane.
Now that you're outside, you start looking for ants. It takes a long time, but you finally manage to find an anthill.
You spit a loogie down there, and wait for a bird to come along.
The bright, glowing ants make for easy prey, and it lures over a goose. It eats a few ants, then gives something that can best be described as a scream.
It falls to the ground, sputtering for a bit, and then the meat on its long neck MELTS OFF, only leaving the bone. You swear in surprise. The duck GOOSE stops screaming as he lacks a throat now.

You have absolutely no idea how this thing could possibly function. Then, however, something grow out of the body, covering the bone with some weird...red....STUFF.
You have no idea what it is, but it looks like it's done with mutating. It looks at you, seemingly waiting for you to do something.
You just go to the factory, the goose following suit. When you get to Katey once more, you see that Sasha is giving her a piggyback ride.
It's adorable.

The second she sees you however, she jumps off and runs towards you.
When she notices the duck GOOSE she looks incredibly intrigued by it for a second, but she gives you another hug first.
You tell her about how to turn birds into zombies using ants. She looks very happy at discovering this. She explains that she could never catch one of those birds.
She thanks you heartily, then asks what you are going to do now.
