Well, we could... wait. Are there Kudzu vines near here? They're an invasive species in the 'states and grow fairly quickly. Could we infect them? Can we inflect plants at all? This is a worthwhile area of study while someone searches for a hospital to raid.

Anyway, back to the ants. If we infect them then they're going to be in immense pain because their size would require that we bite their abdomen (the part opposite the head) to effectively attempt to infect them. If they provide a useful ability (even if that ability is to swarm) then we should infect as many as possible.

We should probably infect just one swarm insect and have it infect its comrades. Because I don't think that zombies running around biting ants is really very worth the time at all. Seeing as how much hive animals will tend to help their wounded, we should be good with just one or two directly infected.

Infecting plants sounds interesting. I don't think we'd enjoy it much though, zombies seem to become carnivorous.

Couldn't we inject ants with zombie drool or something similar? A sufficiently small needle could be hard to find, though.

You decide to go towards an inhabited area and, from there, find a nearby spot with some covering or something.
You keep driving untill you are in the rich district of town. The streets are absolutely lousy with people carrying guns. Looks like some citizens got together to build a militia.
Thankfully, they don't check every car. Two zombies were ordered to keep the doors closed a while ago by Diane. Thank the 15'th God for that.
You keep driving around until you manage to find the black sheep of the rich. They seem to be poor people who managed to get lucky with a good house.
It's big, but their house looks like nobody took care of it.

They were delicious and drunk. They didn't even scream. The house can fit your entire horde and them some.
You then decide it time for SCIENCE! to take place. You go to their (rather pitiful) yard and manage to find some climbing plants. Nice and invasive!
You take a good chomp of it and then spit it out and swallow a bit of vomit. The plant quickly.... Does absolutely nothing. Well, that was fucking terrible!
You can't get the taste out of your mouth. Gah! You see an anthill but decide against it. If you manage to break their skin you already broke a whole lot more.
Broke-back zombie ants probably can't do much. Besides, too much of a bad taste in one day. Bleh!

Having grown up around a lot of kudzu, I'm really relieved that infecting the vines didn't work.  Nightmare fuel right there!

Terribly wasteful, really. We could have done MUCH with them.
I've been reading on some disturbing shit lately. Perhaps the story might get a little bit darker for a while.
Rape will remain off-limits. In fact, suggesting it will add a minus 2 on the dice rolls for 2 updates. So don't do that.

I suggest no rape, in all seriousness.
I'm also really worried about how this can get darker.  Worried and curious.  I think I'm partly sticking around just to be the little voice whispering "No stop what are you doing" as we become less and less human.
