first ask Theresa if she want some books. if so then we can go after books and i'm sure  we will find humans  by the books or at least the owner(s).

Get books on antimatter creation, the human body's blood flow system, and human anatomy. Also electrics.

You go back outside, and carry Roy's body back inside. You chow down on his corpse.
It feeds you well, and you feel happy and warm when you finish. Sadly, Roy will not rise due to the colossal brain damage he took from his own jawbone.
The rest of the zombies feed as well, leaving one very misshapen skeleton after only a few minutes.
You head back inside and see that Diane is lying on the bench, looking annoyed.

I acquired a migraine... Damn it. I hate that so much.
I will not try that again, I suppose.
Try what again?
Get inside my mind, help me forget my... personal problems.
You can enter minds!?
It seems to be hit or miss... Some minds I can enter, some I cannot. It depends on the inborn magical resistance.
Seems very useful. We can discover what buttons to push!
What now?

What map?

The surroundings consist of some empty farms and the nearby towns. Both ransacked. One is in the middle of being ransacked by feral zombies.

We pretty much own this town, now. Lets see if we can't get the feral zombies under our control. Maybe Theresa can use her newfound mind powers on them!

The survivors obviously know stuff something is very wrong here, now.  Having survived the longest, they're also likely the best and brightest that town had to offer.  Let's make sure all their weapons are taken away, and then level with them that they're just our captive resources now, and they will serve our cause, one way or another.  Each individual chooses for him or herself.

They can choose to help us alive and unharmed, serving as drivers, internet researchers and other low-skilled labor, as well as using any special talents they have which we might find useful.
They can choose to be meat on the hoof, to be killed and eaten whenever we get hungry... brains destroyed as well, so they're just dead dead.
They can choose to pretend to cooperate and then try to betray us, which will be punished not with death, but with turning and unliving servitude.

Set Diana and Theresa out to interview potential recruits on their attitudes and aptitudes.  Leave Snowflake and 15 normal zombies (or however many won't fit into a single truck, whichever is more) with them to quiet things down if the interviewees get rowdy.  Take the rest back to town and try to get what's left of the feral zombies under our control, first with simple firm commands to instil a common goal, then (if that fails) by revising their infections with our own bite.

Remember they've been fighting the weaker, non-bitten zombies, so our zombies could probably be more challanging for them

True, but the more force advantage on our side, the less likely we'll have to destroy people to subdue them.  You don't want to waste a valuable specialist because you don't have enough muscle to contain a brief panic attack until it subsides.

I'd prefer to leave more zombies behind, but keeping a large force with ourself for safety seems like a good idea if we're going out without any of our more potent allies.  And Diana and Snowball count for a lot of ass kicking if things get noisy.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Bite these odd new zombies, the result should be more zombies for us, and even if they are still inferior, then we have bodies to take bullets for us. Also, use the humans as forced labor for things that our zombies cannot do for now, if they rebel give them to Diane, for snacks.

You decide to go tell your resources what their status in life will be. You step outside and order the zombies to charge through and grab anything that could possibly be used as a weapon.
The search goes swimmingly. You gather up two empty guns, a lead pipe, a hatchet and a belt with nails driven through it.
Then, you start up your little speech after putting yourself at a higher spot for dramatic effect.

My dear subjects! I am going to put my cards on the table! You have been tricked, and kidnapped by the very same thing you wished to avoid. I am The First! I am the first of this undead army.
A mutter goes through the crowd, most don't seem to believe you, but they are all frightened.
Now that you have been captured, I wish to offer you a choice! Three options are available to you all!
The first option! Serve me as laborers! You will be kept alive, and unharmed! You will be one of the sole survivors of the human race if you join!
My second option! Food. You will serve as food, but will be killed humanity and zombification will be prevented! If you do not wish to be part of this, you may choose this.
Your final option. Betray me, and you will be executed and kept as my undead slave for eternity! Depending on the severity, other punishments will be given!
So, who chooses the first option?

The whole crowd holds up their hand, and a woman steps forward. She is clearly scared out of her mind, and is crying.

W-What about the children! T-t-.... She stops for a second to get her bearings.
The children must be kept safe! Don't be a monster.... Please, I beg you... Don't force them!
I will take care of the children. But for now, I will leave. Guards will be kept here, and my lieutenant will check for any special skills.
You jump from your elevated spot and the survivors clearly just released how much of a mess they're in.
Diane comes up to you.

Very dramatic, but since when am I your lieutenant?
Using your name could cause problems. But you know what to do, I hope?
Yes, yes. You're leaving, meanwhile? What about Whisper?
What will you do with her? Also, state your plans for when you get to the city.

Theresa's Whisper should interview our new detainees -- not alone, but as an assistant to Diana. She can get in some mind probing practice, and find out at the same time how resistant these people are to magic. But have her go easy. If we start hurting these people after agreeing not to, they'll distrust us even more and be harder to work with, so no migraines or head explosions, please.

When we get back to town, seek out feral zombies - loners or small groups if possible - and try to convert them. First with firm commands, in case it is just that they lack a sense of belonging and purpose. If that fails, bite some to try and overwrite/revise their current infection with what we normally would inflict.
