But biting people is violent and obvious.
Most people don't even want to be bitten.
Well boo-hoo.  I'll play them a nice, slow song on the violin.

I feel like all of humanity needs a larger one, but I really only know how to play violins with my thumb and fore-finger, so I guess I'll have to.

The infection referred to as "zombificaton" is usually transmitted through biting, and has (within our little universe here) also been seen to transmit through scratches as well. This brings to mind a few ideas on how it is transmitted:
1) Saliva and others. If the infection is contained within the saliva (or other fluids) of the infected, then Graknorke's idea is a viable one.
2) Contact. It is not impossible that the... pathogen (seriously, is it a virus? Bacteria? Z-Worm eggs?) will find its way onto the hands and other skin surfaces of the infected, and there is precedent for this in sufferers of the common cold.
3) Airborne. In case there is no contact transmission, scratches could still cause infection if the pathogen is able to float through the air and into the open wound. This seems unlikely since we can't just sneeze and expect people down wind to start zombifying.

It is a parasitic braindwelling slug/ worm creature that might be in symbiosis with a pathogen of a sor which slows/stops all nonessential bodily systems which does include parts of day brain.
Not so sure about bacterium/virus part though

We still need to find/create a pregnant woman to infect

First of all, I think you're right, even though I don't know what a "sor" is. Or what "day brain" is.  Sounds like fun though.

And yeah, we do need to find/create a pregnant women.  I like how you put that.  It creeps me the hell out, but I kinda like it.  But we also do need another slug.
But, why exactly do we need more intelligent zombies?  That's just asking for a power-struggle.

We want smart zombies so we can delegate tasks to them instead of constantly trying to manage all the actions of the morons under our command.

To clarify, if we attack a hospital and infect a few sick people, we get vomiters, which can infect people with thier vomit. Leasd me to believe that the infecting agent is in the oral glands.

You decide to throw your antpot in the Hell's Angels hideout. That should make for some fun times.
Along the way over to the Angel's HQ you figure out how exactly you infect people. It works like this.
When you arrive, you decide to just walk in. Almost instantly, you are greeted with stares and a smell that could knock out an elephant. You push out Diane for her safety.
You continue walking further into the building. The stares increase, but none of them seem to actually do anything against you. It's clear that they have orders.
Eventually, you manage to find a secluded spot and release all the ants and proceed to get the hell out of dodge.

You walk as fast as you are capable of without running and then grab Diane. You then realize you didn't really plan beyond that.
What now?

Leave a couple bio-bombs in the doorjamb so they'll go boom when they try to leave?

Yeah, maybe put a bunch in a bucket.  We have like 28 un-bitten worms in our pocket, right?
