Vi keys for Adventures

I've been trying to modify the controls on Adventure Mode to use Vi keys (hjklyubn), like Nethack.  However, there tends to be a lot of clashing when one key is supposed to do two unrelated things.  Finally, I gave up, but found this topic, and tried the download out.  Problem is, those bindings affected everything but Adventure Mode.  So I guess what I'm asking is, where do I put those bindings to affect Adventure Mode?

Don't think it's possible to make one key do two things at once :(

Tried just using combinations, like [SHIFT] and [whatever key]
