Correl tries to find the path, dirt or stone, and follows it. There must be other sources of civilization here.
A road easily goes to the north, even the dumb can find it. It is mostly dirt with a small usually, unlit lantern leading the way. You begin to travel north, the only main road on this island you currently are on.
How did he manage to cut my arm while I was holding the cleaver?
"You can surrender now, and be bought to justice, or don't and die a horrible death. Your choice".
If the dwarf surrenders, try and find something to tie him up, or at least make sure he can't do anything for a short while, retrieve the dagger from his shoulder, and help lawa by throwing the knife into the bandits shoulder.
If the dwarf doesn't, throw the other dagger into his thigh.
(He simply picked it up with his other arm, it only dropped in front of him, not like it would be that hard, you were keeping your distance so he had time, remember? Then he charged at you and cut your arm a little as you tried to keep distance.)
The only dwarf was running away already and Adil was running after him. Someone please say they took their lucky kegs. Seeing Adil run after the dwarf you turn your attention to the one that hurt Hilda pretty bad and throw your dagger in his general direction(Luck 6). You hit him square in the spine of his neck. By the time Hilda got to the Human, he was already foaming at the mouth, the dagger in the spine of his neck. You could of probably been close to hitting him square in the head. The bandit twiches some before dying. Hilda kicks him in disgust. The other you look for your other dagger but you forget that it is in his shoulder already.
"I'M NOT DONE WITH YOU YET!"
Adil charges the fleeing dwarf, trying to slow him down enough so that he can get a good hit on him.
Adil ran after the enemy dwarf, you try to catch up(Speed 6-1=5) who looks behind him an attempts to run faster (Speed 5-1=4). You slowly begin to catch up with him. Though you both seem to be separated from the group and the sun was setting. The darkness was good cover. With you catching up. The dwarf wields his Cleaver in his only good right arm. He begins to fight with Adil, away from the group.
Adil fights
1.Bandit Dwarf, Iron Meat Cleaver, Peasant Clothes
Battle initiative Adil(4)-Bandit(6)
The Dwarf charges Adil almost angrily with his one good arm, "You will pay, all of you will pay!" He aims for your right arm(Roll 6) The cut is deep, it goes through the bone, and the rest of your arm dangles there as blood leaks out. You scream in horror at the pain.
Sneak attack the closest bad guy, drink his blood.
Bad guy is such a vague term you know. All humans are inherently evil in some form or another. I could of been awful here but I wont. While the enemies run away. You attempt to drag a freshly killed body away(Sneak 3). You drag him away and drink the Lt.'s blood. However everyone is now aware that he is gone fairly quickly. The blood trail that you left towards where you are is a nice indicator of where you are now.
Well, this battle was rather... abrupt. Half the bandits are dead or incapacitated and the rest are fleeing, while half of us have horrifying wounds.
"Huh. Well, good job!" Darius said to his macegoblin. "Now, after them! Let's capture them more alive this time!"
Chase after Human 3, attempt to tackle to ground and suggest coming along quietly. Advise mercs to similarly pursue and capture, though they can just bash out their legs if they prefer.
(Speech 5+1=6) You convince your goblin mercs that it is for the good of the mission even though their mission is over. They run after the Human. Closely followed by yourself (Speed 6, 6, 6, no really you all got 6) and he continues to try and run away (Roll 4) Seems that you easily caught up The human is not stupid though. He puts his hands in the air. Because you caught him so quickly and efficiently, you are not separated from the group.
"Eh, seems I didn't get much more than much than rat catching anyway, did it? Squeal and scatter, little gutter maggots!"
If Anist can reach the spear without letting go of the pitchfork, she picks it up and points it to the goblin's neck, otherwise she just twists the pitchfork in the wound. "As for you, I think you better surrender your equipment and tell me where you keep your loot, the medical stuff first and foremost, and your foodstuffs, and we might just bring you back to town alive, now. So, how will you have it?"
((I keep going into stereotypic "Scottish" dwarf mode whenever I'm about to write something Anist says. Don't be surprised if I end up capitulating to that urge down the road ))
It is too far away to be gotten without him being released. You twist and he begins to wince. He calls you a wench and some other pretty vile stuff. He does not give up. He simply continues to harass you asking where your beard is. He tells you, you look man enough.(Yeah get the joke? Probably. Prepare for future beard-related jokes with this character)
punctured lung? Owwww.
Matthias sees the bandits run off, as he stumbles back and leans against a tree, breathing harshly. He controls himself and stabilizes his condition, whilst trying to hold back his disapointment with himself.
Not actually doing anything (adrenaline wear's off or something ), just resting with the bodies and unconcious.
It is good to rest. A punctured lung is not fatal if one can rest. Though the pain is pretty vivid and the wheezing breath is pretty bad. You are going to need help getting back to town. Hopefully your companions like you enough to help. While you still need to rest, resting out here without a fire will leave you weak to diseases such as pneumonia. Hopefully they are done soon. Keeping quiet isnt exactly the best thing to do in this scenario, sort of an emergency.
"What-- I-- How can--"
Fronzang was speechless, his eyes wide with horror. So it was all true... He had heard tales of the terrible mistreatment of goblins in backwoods little towns like this, but he'd never quite believed them. Surely the humans here weren't so unfairly set against his kind, just for the colour of his skin? ...Well, and his fangs, pointy ears and glowing red eyes, but the point stands.
He raises his empty hands above his head, looking shocked and appalled.
"I 'ave done nothing wrong! You cannot do this, arrestin' me for no reason whatsoever! I knows me rights! I demand a lawyer!"
The dagger, of course, remains hidden under the grimy tophat on his head as he surrenders, firmly demanding a fair trial.
"What rights goblin scum" They begin to beat you senselessly(5, 4, 3, 6, 6). Your left arm is badly bruised, your right arm is bruised a bit, your left legs has a couple small cuts, your right leg is fractured, your ribs are fractured. They avoid your head for now to keep you alive. They give you that much, but talking back to guards, no the smartest thing in the world. Not a Luck or a good Speech in the world could save you now. You are dragged away and thrown into jail where there are other goblins, most of the prisoners are goblins. You are still alive for now. They've stripped you of everything you have and left you naked in there. Male and female goblins are all the same in the cell, you share yours with about 3 others, two males and a female. The other cells are the same. This may actually be a special prison for goblins. If you give in, you will ask yourself to be killed by the guard, otherwise you wait for thirst to take you, or maybe you made some friends outside. But you really didn't. You made an acquaintance with the lord. But a guards word over yours is not going to help.
Use the tree's for cover to try and close down the elf once in attack with the iron dagger equipped.
Flintus Battle with Elf Archer
1.Male Elf Archer, Peasant clothes(+0), Wooden bow, 20 Iron arrows.
Running from tree to tree, you get closer, however the elf waits for you to show yourself. He fires on more arrow before you can get to him, long range has its uses.(Roll 2) You dodge it just barely. Continuing on to run you close in on the torso hoping to get a good jab in. (Roll 6) You hit him and the dagger goes straight into his lung. When you pull it out he is wheezing in pain, With two arrows in each hand, you are now too close for him to use that effectively. Countering now he throws one of them like a dart(Roll 2) You dodge yet again, throwing the last on at you now(Roll 6), he gets a good hit in your leg effectively slowing you. Though it is two late for that. You are in close. Though you are badly bleeding out of your leg right now, that arrow got in surprisingly deep.
