I started as a human in adventure mode, see a soldier in a shop, ask her to join me, turns out it was the queen. Says only if I lead her to death and glory, and now I have the queen of the civ following me with a crossbow.

Last I checked, she was supposed to tell me her duty was there, and tell me to bugger off :/

Bug? Also, what should I do with her?

Ah, that's not actually the queen, but one of the queen's consorts... Basically just extra historical figures whose job it is to simply hang around the Queen herself. I once had an entire room full of King Consorts, they were all basically just peasants somehow related to the big guy himself.
Still a cool find, though! I prefer having historical figures as my companions, more fun.

Ah that makes more sense. The Queen's consort has so far killed a few zombie trolls, a night creature and a few kobolds... Historical entities are BADASS

No, the queen's consort is the spouse of the regenting queen. I have no idea if consorts are [DUTY_BOUND] or not. There can also only be one spouse in vanilla human civilization, I think, Yoink, so was that a mod?

No, I'm pretty sure the queen consort is the wife of the king. So she basically is the queen, just a kind of queen who isn't involved in the actual government affairs unlike the entity position actually named "queen".

I'm kind of wondering why your humans have monarchs, though. Mine only have law-givers, lords, ladies and sometimes demonic masters, but never actual noble rulers. Do you play a modded game or were your humans conquered by the dwarves at some point?

Indeed, for clarification; "Queen consort" is the king's wife. Likewise, "King consort" is the queen's wife. This is the title given to the non-ruling part of a royal marriage, the other, ruling title being King/Queen Regent, although regent isn't commonly necessary to clarify.

"Queen's consort" is the consort of the queen regent (meaning, a person titled "King consort"). I'm sorry I got them mixed up earlier.
