June 14th. If it passes then, we'll end up with the same problems as America.

June 14th is the day when the EU will ratify it. They have already signed it, so you should be proud of the EU politicians showcasing the independence and incorruptability of the European Union.

Argh. So what's the difference between signing it and ratifying it? If it is ratified, what happens to EU member states that didn't sign it?

I already knew they signed it, to take one from Toady, amplify your relaxed states :P

Also, those weren't EU politicians, those were diplomats.

Diplomats.

Yeah.

June 14th? Dear god, that's right the fuck on top of my birthday! Looks like i'm set to receive the worst birthday present in recorded history if it gets ratified. Worst part is that it's also something of a milestone birthday (20th, if it matters). I can't accurately word what i'm feeling about that, but i'll try: Dickstorm charades. Needless to say, i am very much hoping that my birthday won't be violated by this treaty.

Almost hit one million, so they set the bar higher with 1,500,000.

I'm taking it that's bad? or good? Not sure how petitions work.

Anyway, this thing will hit 3 Mil or more EASY before the deadline.

I imagine every time somebody goes and posts it on a popular forum or blog, it gets a small boost, and should a popular website like penny arcade or the escapist provide a link, well boom!

He is asking if somebody will repost the link to that petition on xkcd with the hope of attracting a large number of people to sign.
