A section of the cavern has collapsed!
« on: January 28, 2012, 01:48:36 am »

More appropriately, "The fortress has collapsed!"

Doh.

I forsee a tantrum spiral.  There is no way I could describe how bloody and messy this was, but I think this image should suffice.

On the bright side of things, at least the mayor died.

The only thing this is lacking is magma.

I made a minor miscalculation when removing an old tower to upgrade it to a newer design.  A portion fell and took out a critical support that resulted in a large portion of the roof caving in.  This is the end result.

Also, like 30 seconds after the dust clears 26 dwarves are already throwing tantrums, two have gone melancholy, and one has gone berzerk -- a legendary axedwarf no less!

"A mayor's mandate has ended"

Just like the mayor.

I noticed.

I'm laughing so hard watching the remaining dwarves tear each other up my BF asked if I was ok.

Also, some migrants have arrived.

Understatement, anyone?

Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

By god. I thing you'll need a good hammering for that. You must have damaged quite a few people's personal possessions.

This is so beautiful, look at all those dead yaks  :o

Also, this is the reason why dorfs should build downwards, not skywards.
