Now this is baffling. I thought the thread was about translating the sentence, and assumed that there'd be a cooperation between posters, correcting each other's mistakes in order to get it right.
Looks like there's something else going on, whatever that is.

Since it certainly does not seem to be heading in the intended direction, I'm going to leave this conversation now. I'm sure you won't mind.
I might pop in later, should somebody willing to play with the language show up.

Oh, and here's an online dictionary with an actual educational institution backing it up, for those afraid of language-defiling conspiracy.

If you want to help, be less insulting.

Accusations involving tin foil hats would be something you'd be better without.

... You somehow missed out that this was about a larger issue, and has been since the beginning? Why does this somehow surprise you?

Sure, let me entertain you question, since there's nothing of importance going on in this thread anyway.

I can see there's a larger issue, and I even made a comment or two on the subject, even though just as a side thought.
However, the man asked us to help him translate the sentence in question, not to give him advice.
With that in mind, should the effort to get the translation right be the focus of this thread, as befitting its title, rather than handing out well-meaning, but not asked for advice?
The abandonment of the first and focusing on the latter is what baffles me.

Yeah, well. I asked once for help with my puppy linux instalation, and people generally stayed on topic.

But anyway, if things are more or less clear, I'd rather call it a day, as discussing finer points of what we should be doing in here is the one thing that the thread certainly wasn't made for.

If he didn't want us talking about the larger issue, he wouldn't have talked about it so much in the OP, and I think your own perspective on the situation is a hell of a lot less important than the fact that the OP himself seems fine with us talking about that issue, and seems to have been glad that we are.

How about we let the OP be the judge of that, not you? He's obviously fine with us talking about the surrounding issue. What makes you think you know better than him what aspects of the issue should be talked about more than others?

I apologize that people are focusing on the more important, larger issue presented than getting fixated on a question about Latin. You are the only one who has a problem with this. Please stop being confusingly self-centered.

OP: Your girlfriend sucks at latin grammar and conjucations. I suspect "parum" is a mispelling/misconjucation of parva, meaning "small". As such, here's my translation:

Nothing's new, Daniel; I have little to say, so stop asking.

I'd also like to encourage her to use something much more secure in her private conversations, like rot13 or a basic substitution cipher.

Dump her, she obviously isn't smart enough to correctly formulate a coded message.
For that, she is unworthy of your love.

*I say this as someone who frequently uses Latin for my Roman Empire loving GF.

Can I say something? Since it's about Latin again.
Grek, while I agree with the gist of your translation, I have an issue with this:
OP: Your girlfriend sucks at latin grammar and conjucations. I suspect "parum" is a mispelling/misconjucation of parva, meaning "small". As such, here's my translation:
Parum is not a misspelling, and I don't see why people are insisting otherwise, despite it being relatively easy to find in a good dictionary:
http://www.archives.nd.edu/cgi-bin/lookup.pl?stem=parum&ending=

Also, what mistakes exactly have you spotted re: conjugation and grammar?

Palazzo, you're the only one here still going on despite everyone else actually contributing, and you know, saying she's gotten things wrong :/

Make a translation yourself! Be useful!

It's in my first post in this thread.

But you're right, I should rather go and do something else.

Translation = a structured sentence.

Although if that's an offer, I agree :P

Here's an interpretation, by no means definitive, as you can see from the above analysis:
Nothing changed, Daniel, so I'd rather not to continue this, how much is there to say?
I guess it wan't visible enough.
