Strange Mood Problem
« on: January 27, 2012, 06:47:11 pm »

Ok.
Here comes my first post of doubts. I have a dorf with a strange mood. He has withdrawn from society in his room. DwarfTherapist says that he has a weaver strange mood and the dork itself has some weaving. I've built a Loom that currently sits iddle in its place and the dorf is not claiming it. When I first created the Loom, it had the auto weaving or whatever and some other dorf was there. I took his weaving skill out and after a while I discovered how to remove the default auto mode. Then I destroyed the first one just in case and built another another one that sits iddle there. Why doesn't he claim it?

He didn't claim the first loom. If he did, it would've cancelled the auto loom job. Try building a craftdwarf's workshop, clothier's workshop and failing that, one of everything.

It's guaranteed to be one of the skills he has.  If none of them have valid workshops, it defaults to craftsdwarf.
Moods take precedence over everything.  If they're not claiming, it's either because they can't path to the workshop or you don't have it.  Period.

Why are you asking this in the Adventure Mode sub-forum?

The Loom workshop is not one that can be used by a strange mood.  He may want a Clothier's workshop instead.

Note to all: Do not give alcoholic midgets swords that can cut the face of god and then make them march around in their undies.
They don't like that.
