After about a month of testing, progress is made. We only need to work out the kinks (Or not!) when we give it to the military.
First stage was homeless people. We exposed them to hostile environments after giving them the pill, and the results are quite interesting. Subject Alpha was exposed to toxic gas along with gunfire, and he now possesses the ability to hold his breath for an indefinite amount of time and has a exoskeleton made out of a substance similar to kevlar. Subject Beta was stripped of all senses and gained very basic psychic abilities. Due to partially hearing thoughts, he can "see" the occupants of a room, and due to what we are calling Mental Echolocation can also see the psychic residue of the room. In areas not used by humans in a long time, he can only see the old versions of the building. If an occupant enters the room, he gets an updated version of the room. Subject Delta was given the drug and was not put in any situation. We learned that the drug also causes what the boys in the lab are calling "Physical Melding", which we discovered when a spider landed on Subject Delta. The results were not pretty, but informative. Angelo thinks that Delta might work perfectly okay as a biological weapon, or at least a terror weapon. Subject Sigma was tossed in a blender for five minutes and when he came out, it appears that he was now a killing machine with multiple tentacles, multiple eyes and two large fangs in the place where normal human eyes should be. We have sedated him without casualties and are planning on mailing him to the tabloids as a "Space Alien From Space" to make some money on the side. Your choice, of course.
Angelo notes that this is really amazing stuff and would sell to gangsters like selling candy to a baby, but the dealers should be explicitly warned that the drug doesn't last forever or we will end up with disappointing sales. Dr. Warren warns that it's not a good idea to put it in pill form since it seems that needle works better and does not cause head-explosions and psychosis (See Subject Omega)
In other news, Johnston's pain killer is both legal and perfect. In fact, it works as a pretty good suppressant of the extreme mental imbalance caused by the drug (Speaking of, we should name it at some point if we wish to retain a viable market) and for any extreme deformities caused. Dr Johnston even took back his remarks and replaces it with this: "Our methods are psychotic, but I guess they work in the long run, which is better then most of the other companies I worked with."
Outstanding.
Sadly, this research has taken a toll. We have about $467 dollars left from costs of manfacture and tools. Good news, we have a whole bunch of the drug ready for purchase.
