Unfortunately, Project A.R.M.O.K. is temporarily on hold while I do a trial run for the adventurer world. This does give me time to test out Project SPARTAN, however.

You should install a Pump of Iron in the SPARTAN chamber and have the dude buff his stats in his free time. That guy is gonna need a hobby, anyway, might as well make a legendary pumper out of him. The velvety red icon that comes with it is a nice touch as well.
(alternatively, pottery is a great stress-reliever)

I don't think a lone dwarf will stand much of a chance against demons. A player might be able to handle it, but the AI is pretty dumb when dealing with bigger opponents. They get charged, fall over, and keep trying to stand up instead of fighting back. (unless you remove their legs! ;D )

Ah, yes, I thought something was amiss. Now I see. There's not enough terrible things in the lakes.

It's been a couple days since I've been able to get in a good session, but work on the test fortress is coming along nicely. I have eight Project SPARTAN chambers dug out, and I'm starting to work on setting up a metal industry. No children yet, but I'll be ready for when they come.

Ideally I'll get a baby so I can stick them in the chamber as soon as they become a child. I'm predicting the following results from ten years in the chamber:

Armour User: I have no idea. Do naked children gain skill in this from fighting?
Biter: Competent? Needs testing.
Dodger: Probably around Proficient-Talented. Two-three years in previous tests resulted in around Adequate.
Fighter: Talented? Needs testing.
Kicker: Competent seems most likely.
Shield User: See Armour User.
Striker: See Kicker.
Wrestler: See Biter.
Emotional status: Insanely happy from having a bedroom, dining room, study, and tomb fit for royalty. Albeit full of rabid turkeys, but you can't have everything.
Psychological status: Constantly fighting and killing turkeys means no child that survives even a couple years of this will ever care about anything. Ever.
Physical status: Heavily scarred and bruised. Possibly missing eyes. Might lose the ability to feel pain due to ten years of being pecked and scratched constantly.
Brony status: Ponies are totally awesome. Especially Derpy Hooves and Doctor Whooves.

I still need to run a lot of tests to see how accurate my predictions are, but the last three I'm reasonably certain of. I'll post updates once I get some children in the test fortress.

Unfortunately, you can't give children tasks like this. They'll have nothing to do but fight turkeys, sleep, eat, and make artifacts in the event of a mood.

As for the chance for surviving demons, well, a horde of wardogs will give them a shot, but it really doesn't matter if they survive or not. :D

What do you predict regarding mental attribute degradation?

Dammit, I still haven't ‼Scienced‼ that stuff... I'll do it, come next release.

Most likely mental attributes will degrade to their Very Rusty status. Which doesn't matter, really. We need horribly scarred soldiers wielding infinitely sharp pickaxes who are adorned with the body parts of their enemies, dammit, not mentally stable dwarves!
