The healing ones do look pretty good, even more so the one that activates second wind. My second wind give me +5 to AC and +3 to damage. Although at this point I am thinking I will replace the feat that does +3 to damage with something more useful seeing as it has been really hard to actually use it.

On the other hand, we have not needed more heals so far. And as we move forward although we will be taking more damage we will also be using the heals we have to greater effect (I now heal one more HP per surge for instance. Next level it will take another jump by 2 HP.) So who knows if we will need to upgrade? Can our healing keep pace with the damage?

Well, a healing surge typically restores about 1/4 of your total health. So with bonuses from our leader character, that SHOULD be ok provided we don't suck up too much damage, too fast. If that is happening, then we are doing something wrong or we just had bad luck.

Also, I'm going with colour spray. Dazed and vs will is just too good to pass up.

Well, once I hit level 6, Rune of Mending adds 1d6 to surge value. Not great, but it does get better every five levels or so. I can also see about getting feat bonuses maybe.

And yeah, go with the color spray. Sounds like it could come in handy.

By the way last time I checked our gold count is 1487.8 Which is enough for a low level magic item I believe, if anyone has been eying something.

I personally would love an orb of nimble thoughts. I'm not sure how much it costs so I'll have to look it up later, but it should be in the PHB3.

680gp. Looks good to me. (To bad it is suppose to be for psychic peoples, but eh, it is fairly good for wizards as well.)

Well, with my +5 bonus, the effects would be pretty damn huge. +5 to initiative, Shift 5 spaces as a encounter with a move action, plus it would replace my bog standard orb and also be usable as a implement for my orb of imposition powers. And these bonuses only increase in power as I add to my intelligence as I gain higher levels.

But, I am willing to get it later if someone else needs to get a new item. It's just that I would probably keep this item FOREVER, since it's that good.

Yes, I'm human. Humans also get, when being created, a +2 to any stat of their choice. My choice was, of course, intelligence. Look it up in the players handbook. My current int is 18 so the sheet says that I get a +5 bonus.

Also, I was torn between human and eladrin at the start. Eladrin get +2 to Int and Dex, as well as a personal teleport spell, but humans get super awesome human specific feats, an extra at will and +2 to any stat they want. I thought human would fit in better with the game world however, so I decided to just go with that. That and Action Surge is fucking awesome.

Right. +4 base and +1/2 level (rounded down)

I don't know what the +1/2 level thing actually counts for though. I'm fairly certain things like init and shift (thus most likely your item) it does not.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I think our dm needs to finalize this for us, as a house rule or something. But still, +4 is nothing to sneeze at if it doesn't count.

EDIT: Does anyone actually want to buy anything? Because if not, then I am totally getting this thing the next time we are in town. It's just too good to pass up.

Okay, so I've looked up the rules regarding multiple implements.  You can dual-wield a staff and an orb, but you can only use one to attack, so remember to pick which one you're attacking with (By checking the off-hand box if needed) before you attack.  That will matter if you want to use your orb class feature.

I forgot: do my lightning powers forbid all magical items, or just armor?
