Ok, I think I got everything right. Here's my character:

http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=365569

I'm still looking for a decent pic of a young looking human wizard. :S

Have I gotten anything wrong? Am I missing something? Got a better choice of spells for me? (I'm trying to be flexible, as I do want to disable and debuff our foes, but hopefully do some medium of damage on different fronts such as area effects, single target effects and various status effects. I'm somewhat torn over if I should keep Force Orb (large amounts of damage, and friendly to party) or switch it out with Frozen Terrain (less damage, knock enemies prone, makes difficult terrain until end of next turn)?)

I'm confused about your AC and reflex, you have no dex modifier or armor, yet you have a 4 in your Armor/Abilities section, when that should be a 0.

It's because of my INT modifier. It's in the rules that if your int modifier is higher than your dex modifier, then that is used in place for AC as well as Reflex. If it helps, the sheet did that on it's own, not by my hand. If you don't believe me, it's right there on page 17 of PHB 1.

EDIT: Just changing some things to clarify.

Indeed. A big change in the system of of 4e from 3.5 was the idea of interchangeable scores. Int and Dex for AC and Reflex. Str and Con for Fort. And Wis and Cha for Will.

You'd think they'd make a bigger deal about it then, though that explains why my will save is higher then it should be.

Oh I find it quite nice. I have a wizard that actually has a CHANCE of not being so squishy/slow. They had to do something with that INT modifier, since they really went over skills, and how they are increased. (No more investing points per level in a select few of a TON of skills! Makes me feel happy. :D)

Yes. There is much more ease of use, although at some cost at both the high and low end of specialization.

That sentence by the way can fit into anything when talking about the difference between 3.5 and 4.

I like 3.5 cause it gives you plenty of options to be who you want exactly, 4.0 is "simpler" and more like playing a really complex video game, and yes I realize the irony.

Anyway I bought an Ornate Flask costing 12 gold pieces, and I'm counting it as my instrument (5 GP) and wand (7GP) if you don't mind, since my bards more of a comedian then a musician.

The problem with 3.5e is that yeah, you could be anything you wanted but that didn't mean your character was going to be viable in anything but a pure RP setting, and a lot of stuff (Profession skills) were basically a point sink that had no use outside of roleplay.

4e, if you can make it you know it'll be just as viable as anyone else.

Int and Dex for AC and Reflex?... Wow. Never played 4th Ed, but with that and the simplified skill lists... Yeaah. :P

I probably should've remembered to put in the OP that this wasn't a "4e/3e sucks" thread.

But yeah, the game really suffers for the lack of skills governing how good you are at herding cattle.

Hey, I wasn't trying to discuss how bad it was, I genuinely didn't know how different it was from the earlier editions.
DnD newb here, mostly. :P Was just commenting, since someone mentioned it.

3rd edition seriously had a cattle-ranching skill? :P
I never knew that; 4e was my introduction to D&D.
