Might not be able to make it, but not 100% on that.

Oh well. We will make sure not to do anything important. Should not be hard.

I know we've been hitting a lot of snags, but I'm gonna have to give you one more.  I've been visiting my dad for a while and I haven't been able to actually do any preparations for this next session.

On the bright side, it looks like I'll be transferring to university soon so my schedule should be more even from now on.

So, we aren't having a session today? Also, what did I miss when the fates conspired to make me leave early again last time?

EDIT: It seems the fates are conspiring against me again. I'll have to leave two and a half hours or so after the start time. Maybe earlier...

After we fought the ghouls, the only place left to go was the final chamber, where Black Tooth (the goblin leader) hung out with dozens of barrels full of the plague-causing slime. With him were 5 goblin sacrifices clustered around Black Tooth and two bat handlers flanking the passageway we entered from. Black Tooth cast a zone of darkness around us so we couldn't see, which was supposed to leave us vulnerable to the bats.

Problem was that cfoofoo forgot to include bats, and so the bat handlers were pretty much useless and Aramil just had to move forward in order to bomb the sacrifices with magic. Droogh and Mahtan attacked one of the bat handlers, Anakha forced the other one into a corner with his halberd, and Rider moved forward to attack the boss. Black Tooth had some annoying spells - like a zone of cover for him and his goblins, and a hex that would do 3d6 damage if the person it affected moved at all while it was still active - but other than that and an annoyingly high fort save he wasn't much trouble. The bat handlers had pretty terrible rolls and didn't do much damage, and so Droogh and Mahtan moved forward to help fight the boss, allowing their handler to flee. Anakha spent pretty much the entire fight beating his handler to a pulp while the goblin couldn't land a single blow.

Before long it was all over. We found the cloak of contingency in the boss room, along with some gold. We also took a jarful of the slime so we could bring it to an alchemist. With any luck, they'll be able to develop a cure, especially since the king is one of those affected by the plague.

IIRC, once per day upon taking a hit while bloodied, you can teleport and heal some health as an immediate reaction.

I'm thinking that'd be great for Zako.

Actually now that I think about it, it'd be better for me, I'm more often in melee seeing as he never is, I have a single heal, so being able to use that on someone else knowing that the cloak could save me would be better then giving the mage who's never in combat a way to run away after accidentally getting himself in combat.

I'd also suggest droogh cause bloodied then teleporting equals rage charge, if the heal doesn't end his bloodied.. right?

So I'm guessing no session today?

Also, it would indeed be a great item for me. I suck up close, and having a backup like this would be real useful. But you do make a good point and you can have it if you want.

Eh, Droogh has a few healing abilities already, mostly temp HP upon being bloodied, and when killing an enemy.

Yes but like droogh gets stabbed, gets all bloodied, flies into a frenzy, then teleports like a mother fucker, heals and become not bloodied then charges the guy from behind.  Like a barrel chested ninja.  Would that work?

Thad does have a certain appeal to it.
