Whoo, catching up on two pages of text! Vacation has struck, but I'll still be able to make it to whenever the session is, albeit on an unwieldy and irritating computer.
Araph, if you want we can collaborate on how my character knows your three.
Do we need any more crafters? I have a bunch of feats to burn since spell-casting is all but useless after 8 levels in a non-spellcasting class.
He dreams of being a master chef, and is constantly looking for epic-level recipes to try out.
First, that'd be great; it'll be a novelty for me to have my characters have connections to anyone elses.
Second, Cogitari can make magic weapons and armor, and I think someone else in the party has Craft Wondrous Item. It might be good to have Craft Rod or Craft Wand, but it's not that important.
Third, that is an awesome goal. I have no idea what constitutes an epic level recipe, but I can't wait to find out.
How's this?
It's still a work in progress. Done in the style of my avatar.
It's good! What program do you draw with? (And I just noticed that the
only difference in those two expressions is the eyebrows. Two lines make a big difference, apparently.)
I think I'm going to note here that you (and Araph?) seem to suffer from the same thing I do: I mean, I like all three of my characters, but I'm always thinking, 'man, I wanna try this combination of abilities,' y'know?
Yes, big time. Once a week or so I get an idea for a character that I just can't pass up. Then I remind myself that the same thought process occurred with my current character before ignoring my reminder and making the new character. I really need to break that habit.
EDIT: Those pizzas straight-up ignore physical Damage Reduction. You would need DR/SomethingOtherThanBludgeon and ALSO Energy Resistance (fire) to reduce damage from them... by whichever of those 2 scores is lower. Holy CRAP.
"I cast Magic Mi-"
*pizza to the face*
Something like this, maybe?
Conjuration [Creation]
Level: Sor/Wiz 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Targets: Up to five creatures
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: No
A halo of deadly comestibles springs into existence, orbiting your head until they are willed into movement. Each pizza deals 1d4+1 points of bludgeoning and heat damage. A pizza can be willed into action as a free action, and each nutritional projectile can target a different creature.
The pizzas strike unerringly, even if the target is in melee combat or has less than total cover or total concealment. The pizza strikes the target in the most comically appropriate area (typically the face), even if striking such an area should be physically impossible. Inanimate objects are not damaged by the spell, though they are splattered with ectoplasmic tomato sauce.
For every two caster levels beyond 3rd, you gain an additional missile—two at 5th level, three at 7th, four at 9th, and the maximum of five missiles at 11th level or higher.
