Hey, adwarf. Welcome aboard. ^^^ Sky, what level should he start at? I think most characters are level 14 now; at least, I know Toman and Anya are, and Rae is 15.

By calculations, he has 97160 xp, which puts him at lv 13. The problem here is adwarf wants to play a half-dragon character. Half-dragons have LA+3. If he buysoff at lv9, by my calculations adwarf will be at lv 12 with 88160. Since he's then LA+2, he will have 10 class levels. I think. Someone correct me! D:

He actually will be lv 11, 88160 XP, and the XP needed to advance will be 91000.

Fool seems to be online, I'm sure he knows what to do here. :D Also, adwarf: half-dragon buddies. ^^^ Toman will be one when he hits level 20 (he'll be level 10 Dragon Disciple then).

@Adwarf: Make sure you include the LA of your race!

Also, might I suggest spell less Paladin variant, if you're dumping WIS?

Also, welcome to the game. :P

What book is it in? The only variant I saw in PH2 was the exchange of a special mount for Charging Smite. *goes to check Defenders of Faith*

If you need to know Spell-less Paladin is in Complete Warrior under the spell-less variants section.

You would indeed be level 11 as Sky edited in.

EDIT: It's on page 13.

DITCH TOUGHNESS!

DITCH IT!

(Sorry for shouting, but really. Ditch it. Toughness gives you 2 hp. That's really terrible.)

Also, no Leadership in this game. Sorry :/

Since we have like two clerics and two more healers, you probably won't need Diehard, or Endurance for that matter. I suggest taking... power attack. Or weapon focus. Maybe some of the good paladin feats I really don't know about. Anything except Toughness.

Welcome to the team, Adwarf! Just so you know, Myth-Weavers is a great way to save your character sheet; it also lets the DM and everyone see changes and such once it's saved.

DITCH TOUGHNESS!
Toughness is a really bad feat in any campaign where you plan on getting a character over level one. I guess for a squishy wizard it might give a couple of much-needed hit points extra in the early part of the game, but for a tank you would be better off with nearly anything else. At this point, you'd be best off just getting your character a magic item that boosts Con.

Might I suggest Law Devotion from Complete Champion? +10 to hit is nothing to sneeze at and lets you use turning checks that would have otherwise been useless to you. Seriously though we just stopped an undead army, so we shouldn't be running into undead for a while.

I'd actually make your character more offensive, Adwarf. We're pretty melee tanky as is-Tali and Toman and Rae are all good defense chars.

You could take feats like power attack, extra smiting and stuff like this...

@Fool: Wait. +10? I just looked up Law Devotion and it tops out at +7 at level 15.

Changing sheet, and moving it to Mythweaver's now. Thanks for the advice :)

EDIT: Are there any magic greatswords (I got like 12,000- 15,000 gold left to spend)

Heh. I was trying to recall the exact bonus without looking at the book. Still +5 is quite nice. Sacred bonuses conveniently stack with practically anything you'd have normally on a character. I think the Saint had +10 from all the things I had stacking at once. That's probably where I got that number from.

That makes sense; tbh I was actually more concerned with the website being wrong, since I don't have Complete Champion. ^^^;
