It's just a realistic estimate :3 You see, it takes roughly 28 days to get from Sevilla, Spain to Cuba. From my experience in Open Waters Online, that's the speed of a galleon. Via Google Maps, I found that those two are separated by 5000 miles (10000 km). Therefore, Dorfland and Sunset Island's distance is roughly 1500 miles (2500 km). Seven days of sail = 210 miles per day. So about 8.9 miles per hour, 7.7 knots speed. This is a bit fast for a galleon, but it's ok.

...Or, you could just say it's a lampshade. :3

With my Quill of Transcribing, ladies and gentlemen, I have done it. I have filled up my character sheet with so many spells... that I am now forced to put a bunch of them into my "other notes" block, because I don't have enough space for all of them.

I would like to thank Boccob for the invention of the Blessed Book, which costs over 10,000 gold pieces but allows me to forego magical inscription costs for putting new spells in my book. WORTH IT FOR FLAVAH

Holy crap, dood!

See abbreviation. :3

Hmmm... where are you going to get your higher-leveled spells from, now? O_o
Even the DM doesn't know where you could find any high leveled wizards excluding Anarose.

Wait, Bano was a wizard, wasn't he? Where is his spellbook. I NEED THAT BOOK
Or maybe I could just chill with Anarose for a while...

Also, don't high level enemies drop high-level scrolls as random loot? =3
I do still have that one scroll with Reverse Gravity on it, that's going to be fun.

All of a lich's possessions disintegrate when he dies and reforms when he un-dies. Except for PLOT! items.

((...though you could argue Winterer's anti-disintegration ability worked there...))

Also... (looks around) Bano is a eleventh level wizard. Dun dun dun.

On another subject: Dwarmin, what are the stats of the Ironwood Daggers again? I forgot, and I need to add it to my character sheets so they have 'em. ^^^;

HOW HAVE I NOT HEARD OF THI-- Oh, wait, I had heard about it. Then I forgot.

That is so going to be the first thing I buy when I get back to whatever city might have that! :3

I lol'd at both of these things. I am a silly person.

I'd hazard a guess that the majority of the Bay12 forumites fall into that category. :3

Let's face it, if I'd noticed that I would have done the same thing, Shoruke. I think most of us in this thread are silly people.

I can say for certain me, you, and Sky are. I suspect Dwarmin, Araph, and Elf to be 95% silly as well. Fool, ironically, I believe is the least silly person in this thread, despite putting a female cat in a power tie. :3

Hooray! Silliness all around!

And it's interesting how Fool's name is ironic, given his relative position as the Only Sane Man.

He tried to play a warforged whose only visual cues during communication are emoticons that flash across his face. He ended up playing a Warforged that wields god-weapons FOR GREAT JUSTICE
He made a 5th-level monk with 36 AC. Monks also have high progression in all saves...
His current character in my campaign does not speak common. He's also the most broken character, by virtue of making the team around him into a swirling mass of ludicrous damage, by singing them songs they do not understand.
And I happen to know that he uses a bow in Skyrim, partly because of how funny it is to knock people across the room with an arrow. (I picked that up from him, there's a lot of times where I have to sift through a pile of bodies in the corner because they all ragdoll across the floor)

Trust me, Fool is plenty silly.

He made a 5th-level monk with 36 AC.

O_o

How is that even possible?

Let's see... 10 base AC, Dex bonus of 3 or 4, Wis bonus of 3 or 4, +1 AC bonus at fifth level, +2 or so Amulet of Natural Armor, +1 AC bonus from a Monk's Belt, Wis or Dex increasing item (let's say +4 to each of them), maybe a feat that gives a bonus or two...

Winding up having spent 53,000 gp and gotten a total AC of... 28 or so.

I think having gotten 36 AC with a monk at level 5 falls less into 'silly' and more into 'genius'. :P
