I think Noire is someplace else, where they hate mages. Dorfland is just filled with tricksy dorfs. And lava ninjelephants.

Worth it to never have to worry about preparing those spells again  :D)
Unless some evil NPC decides to randomly hit everyone with an area Dispel. ;3
If the best thing an enemy has to do with his actions is dispel my Permanent Tongues ability, he deserves what's coming to him. Oh, and Permanency makes specific note of the fact that Permanency'd spells cast on yourself are not dispellable. If you use Permanency on a spell that's active on someone else or on an object, it can be dispelled, but Permanency'd spells on yourself are permanent.

Actually...

Quote
This application of permanency can be dispelled only by a caster of higher level than you were when you cast the spell.

So, you -can- be dispel-i-fied, but only by higher level casters. Especially when you are at a higher level then now, and an enemy caster accidentally dispels it? :P (It is rather useless to do that though.)

Also, area dispels are useful! :/ For example, they have a chance to dispel your veils of ouchiness *I think.

NOIRE = We hate mages, all mages are treated harshly
Dorfland (not actual name) = MAGMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

@Skyrunner: Is the weapon idea I posted earlier acceptable? The two-bladed-sword-detaching-into-two-shortswords one?

Why not? :3
Whoo!

For example, let us see the Boatmurdered Elephant.
Pog : E

It is a Huge animal with average 130 HP.
It has a BAB of +11/+29. It is immune to lava. It has Spell Resistance, and various elemental resistances. It has DR. It has high STR. It congregates in herds of 1-5 Boatmurded Elephants and 6~20 Elephants. It has a CR of 11.

I wonder ... why did the Boatmurdered Elephant evolve to be resistant to lava? ;3
Hm. Should I change one of my ranger's favored enemies to animals?

And then beat the ground in despair because few animals are CR 12+.

Sticking with what I have, then. I presume we'll be facing devils and suchlike, still?

EDIT: At long last, my inanely-detailed-yet-still-not-quite-right depiction of Lucus Tacitus the ranger is done!

Spoiler: Picture (click to show/hide)

Sketches were drawn! Polygons were shaded! Eyes were made, deleted, remade, redeleted, and the first version undeleted! I drew two mouths, then ended up deleting the second one to use the first one! There are shadows I drew that were covered up by other parts of the image! The nonsensical background was added at the last minute! All in all, I put way more effort than necessary into a product that really didn't need it. (And his face is still messed up. Grr.)

On the plus side, now I have a pog for that guy!

EDIT EDIT: @Skyrunner: Are ranger spells from the book Magic of Faerun okay? In particular, the spells Hunter's Mercy and several of the ones that give a +10 bonus to one skill (Camouflage, Sure Foot, Towering Oak, etc.).

Ah, for RP explanation of my chars absence, I'm going with the idea that Bano cursed all my characters to get to Kanesrae.

He did it so bad it affected me IRL.  :(

((I've been forgetting to ask, but I can't find the stats for Illuminating weapons like the one Ria gave to Rudra. Exactly how does it work? Can I make it stop giving off light, or is it a permanent effect?))

Technically, the weapon has to be 'drawn', which I assume means the user holds it up and wills it to activate, just like someone with a sword would be drawing it in preparation for battle.

I always like to take the good view of things, and assume Rudra can turn it on and off by saying or thinking the word 'light', in Elvish.

It gives bright light at 20 ft, and shadowy at 20 ft beyond that.

I would believe it can be willed to turn on or off.

.... Well, first of all I never even looked at my Faerun book. Second I don't think I even -have- the MoF book. Third... No third. Take it, but remember I want to reserve the right to recall your rights to use it :P

EDIT 3 : I'm bored! D:

Unless you consider an IRC session to be worthy of a mini-session, it probably won't happen :P

I'm tempted to use IRC to breeze through the sale of the bow. I'll be making a fair number of diplomacy checks. ;D
