Can't hurt to ask: can Vulsano get a set of Wings of Flying? Or is that too expensive?

EDIT: And would it be possible for someone unbiased (i.e. not me) to check this stereotypical fantasy hero class for balance? I tried to make it not overpowered, but that isn't something I'm very good at.

For a start, it needs some more clarification for "BAB progression". Just switching your "Base Attack Bonus progression" partway through a class... just doesn't work nicely. If you start as a fighter archetype and switch to mage, do you get more Base Attack Bonus at even levels (because wizards get another BAB point at even levels), or odd levels (as if you were multiclassing into wizard starting at level 6)? If you switch between thief and mage, do you "partial" base attack bonuses carry over?

It might work better if you had three seperate tables, one for each archetype, to see which bonuses to saves/BAB are granted at which levels...

Oh, and no, playing as a gestalt fighter/sorcerer with access to cleric spells is not balanced.

I'll clarify the BAB thing; I didn't think that through enough, I guess. I also got rid of cleric spells. And the class isn't near on par with sorcerers, spell wise; they get fewer spells per day than wizards and fewer spells known than sorcerers.

I think it is not balanced, mainly because:

(1) (For some reason) the Hero gets a full attack of 1 attack. O_o Or did I read it wrong?
(2) The hero gets as many spells/day as your average sub-par wizard, and the hit die of your average fighter.
(3) ...Uh, what shoruke said - gestalt character, basically.

I propose one or more of the following: (a) Stripping your spells per day down. Way down. As in, 'never get 8 or 9th level spells' type of down. Umm, view the Paladin's spells per day list for a similar idea. (b) Actually, that's probably the largest offender...Oh, that and getting 2 fast progression Saves, but that's less important.

As for the wings, I don't see much problem.

As for 8-bit theater, it's pretty amusing :3

Ok, fixed the tables for saves and BAB; I'd actually forgotten to put in the full attack thing, but I'll fix that now.

I'll get rid of the highest level spells, as well.

Also, now saves are dependent on what archetype you choose, as opposed to being static.

EDIT: Highest level castable spells are 5th level. Is that okay?

Ah, I see. If other people can make it, I'd be available to play.

And about the aforementioned class: what else should I change? Is it closer to balanced, now?

Actually, yes, its much less gestalt-y than before. It still might have a number of problems... including the fact that Cone of Cold hurts a very lot. That's what inevitably happens when you add a fighter and a wizard/sorc.

I want to ask, where are you planning on using it? O_o

...Right now, I'm writing up the stats for Winterer O_o Apparently it gives you a bunch of extra abilities per level.

I'd be ready for a bonus session tonight, too. Especially if I can figure a way to introduce Bael into the party...

His sheets done anyway! And his dog too.

Looks very cool for our resident dual wielders. ;)

Toman could even take a level in Warblade and retrain his Dwarven Waraxe feats into Bastard Sword ones if he really wanted it.
