Thanks; I saw the map in the OP, but it didn't give too much detail on the terrain of the continent.

Which do you think would be more useful to the party: a wizard or a druid-shaman-healer guy?

Not sure... Wizard would be both a swiss-knife and a damage dealer, but druids are supportive... Ask our party members :P

Party breakdown:

Me: Two warriors alternating and sometimes at the same time since we need tanks (Kanesrae is a damage dealer with High HP, great saves, and several attacks; Toman has 35 AC, will get 26 SR in four more levels, and deals 4x crits when he gets a chance; despite having slightly lower HP than Rae, he tends to be more of a damage sponge) with a Sorcerer 6 / Force Missile Mage 5 in reserve in case one dies
Dwarmin: Tali (Rogue, mostly does Rogue stuff) and Ria (Spirit Shaman; healer, ghost killer, decent variety of spells, crafter)
ElfCollaborator: Alith (Doppelganger/Rogue, good for diplomacy and such) and Amane (Not yet completed afaik, but basically Zatoichi the blind swordsman)
Shoruke: Rudra (Wizard 1 / Paragon 3 / Specialist 2 / Trickster 3 / Initiate of the Seven Veils 1)
Fool: Luke (Spirit Detective - a handful of sweet abilities and information gathering) and The Saint (I haven't looked over the sheet yet but I believe he's like Toman except more so, down to being a Saint of St. Cuthbert rather than just a believer)
Solifuge: Tylee Mothmoon (Halfling Paladin; hasn't played yet so I don't know her abilities)
Freeformschooler: ??? (Making a Favored Soul as far as I know)

Does the information help you decide? And also... what do you think of Hexblades? (I'm just curious about that class. I've read up on it but I dunno what to think of it.)

I was only talking about players, otherwise I'd have to include Eurika (helps out sometimes), Anarose (helped out once when we were overmatched), Maximin, Joshua, that one redheaded girl on the ship whose name I can't recall right now but I think it's Riche, Wheatly, Fabian, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few.

Hmm.... Well, Wheatly is a core part of the party, while the other people are ... at best, unreliable.

A run down of all the named NPCs that are not antagonistic -

Wheatly - 12th Cleric. Healing specialization
Maximin - 9th Bard. Lazy.
Joshua - Unknown class
Riche - Commoner
Fabian - Fighter
Scion - Navigator / Ranger
Eurika - 18th level Sorcerer

Major antagonist at the moment:

Auvergne - 18th level Fighter / 1st level Rogue

I note that some people have two characters; do they just play whichever person they want each session?

Yup.

The XP scheme is like this : All characters that fought or played a large part gets 100% XP + RP XP. All characters that didn't play get 60~90% XP.

Pretty much. I tend to use Rae more though because she's Ria sister, is sort of but not really in a relationship with Tali, is fairly cheerful and does a lot to keep the party going, and is kind-hearted (which I prefer to play)... While Toman is kind of a bastard for a Chaotic Good character (list of evil deeds done so far: chased a retreating pirate into the ocean to try and finish the fight, headbutted a woman directly in the face with his helmet on, and knocked out one of Tali's teeth with a haymaker off-camera :P) and other than being Rae and Tali's tall brooding friend doesn't have much of a strong connection to the group as a whole. (Side note: I think part of the problem there is I had another character who was a sort of zealot except he was more Lawful/Neutral Evil and I tend to keep wanting to play Toman the same. :\ I need to work on that.) I'd try a session with Anya if I thought I could get away with it, although it would definitely mean benching one or both of my tanks for the duration and we kinda need them, unless The Saint is a good one. Knowing Fool he'll do his job well, though. ^^^

EDIT: Oh, right. Almost forgot. Want me to do you a FE-style pog/portrait when you finish your character? :D

@SC: I'd say Riawilde is sort of the same, connection to the party wise. That's why she has tried to reach out to Toman, in an off hand fashion. She's certainly keeping emotional distance from the rest of the 'mortals', though I may not have been playing this part of her as much as I could.

As for my characters, it tends to be black or white.

Tali is useful for getting through those magic missile trap laden hallways (something which Sky seems to have developed a habit of creating :P ), and her battlefield mobility makes her great in a fight when she can actually engage in melee, either through support, or backstabs. She's also got the ability to offtank if needed-with a shield and combat expertise, hitting 32 AC and roughly 2/3s the HP of Kane and Toman. She tends to lose alot of effectiveness, though, depending on the situation...

And that's when I use Riawilde, whose pretty much the basic Druid Buffer/Blaster/Summoner/Healer. Has a number of nifty class skills, most of which relate to hurting 'spirit' enemies, like Incorporeal Undead, Elementals and Fey. She's also our primary source of in-combat player reincarnation, but luckily has not had to use those abilities yet.

Personal thoughts:

(1) Should start inserting mechanical and/or creative traps
(2) Create a couple encounters that need more than blasting power, ie things you sneak past, or persuade, or things with weaknesses that must be exploited
(3) Uhhh.... Stop abusing MM hallways of temporary, minor inconveniences

@Sky: Yeah, the best traps are not rows and rows of them in giant hallways that slow us down horribly-cause after that, everyone Hallway looks the same, and we end up crawling through them.

Try putting traps, at points where the PC's are not expecting it. Unless the enemy is deliberately trying to hinder us, traps should be big affairs-the trip wire across the chasm that dumps the bridge, the pressure plate through the narrow pass the enemy just fled through and we are pursuing, etc.

Also, even better? Monsters and enemies know where the traps are too. They shouldn't wait around for us to heal up nicely, otherwise there traps are wasted. Consider pairing traps with enemies to give them more of a chance. Kobold Tactics 101 is to make traps that hurt your enemies, but don't hurt you-like pressure plated traps affecting a certain weight, or tripwires against a certain height. :P

Finally, Tali's Dwarven stonecunning ability. We need to figure a way to implement that. Possibly allowing me to double roll a search check if I activate a stoneworked trap?

:P

I wasn't focusing much on traps up until now tho :3
((Incidentally, rows upon rows of magic traps could work if there was no rogue in the party... Just saying >.>))

@Sky: Ahh, but eventually you run the risk of the old 'make a horde of summoned cats run over the traps :3' solution...

I was considering letting Riawilde do it last time, anyway.

Wut.

Why not giant spiders, or R.O.U.S.es, or something that isn't fluffy and adorable?
