Nope, couldn't catch the plothook through the lack of server.
The session was okay, although I really need to hurry up and level up and use feat retraining to take that reserve feat so that I can actually help during these marathon levels...
If you could fix my teammates so that they don't all deliberately get in the way of the fireballs I want to shoot, that'd be cool... Also, being stuck with one bad initiative roll for 5 different encounters was kind of annoying. I could have actually attacked more than one person at once with my AoE spells if I'd gotten to use the good initiative roll I got during the boss fight...

I should probably mention where I got most of my things for the Saint. Here is a list of sources that went into making the character:

Saint template (BoED, p.84)
Warforged race (MM3, p.191)
Adamantine Body feat (MM3, p.192)
Protection Devotion feat (CC, p.61)
Verdant Soul trait (Homebrew) - This is mainly for flavor. I don't intend for it to be as extreme as what the entry says.

The Saint template is the only thing that I'm kind of worried about. It grants immunity to acid, cold, and electrical damage along with a fire 10 resistance. It kind of balances out because I lose a bit of HP, BAB, and saves are lower since I'm only level 9 while everyone is level 11 or level 12. It should be fairly balanced though since most of the features are situational. If I fight a physical attacker I only have DR against evil and some fast healing from the template, which will make my level adjustment painfully obvious.

I'm dropping the Vow of Silence since it would hurt my ability to roleplay effectively. I'll just stick to the Inattentive flaw from UA.

I think characters that haven't been played at all have the minimum amount of XP to be level 9 + 15400 XP.

Ah, OK. This template stuff is over my head. ^^^;

EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, the Black Knight (Archetype) feat I have for Toman is basically a template, isn't it?

No, templates add onto a race's features. You can be a human saint, which would grant all the features of being human as well as all the features of being a saint. Thenash had the dark template, which allowed him to hide in plain sight as a shadow plane creature and use his hide bonuses from being a whispergnome. It adds things by increasing the level adjustment of the race.

If you really wanted you could be a dark (+1) Goliath (+1) saint (+2) with a +4 level adjustment rather than the standard +1 for Goliaths. You'd have the features of both the dark and saint templates as well as the racial features of Goliaths. I don't recommend that kind of set up, but it shows what it does.

Read through the thread, added up all the EXP non-participating characters got from each session. This is the current amount:

Session 1: 3200
Session 2: 2000
Session 3: 1300
Mini Session 1: 400
Mini Session 2: 610
Session 4: 1540
Session 5: 3000 (2010? This is the only one I'm not sure about; there was no indication if 3k was flat across the board like M-S5's 5000 or not)
Mini Session 3: 1100
Mini Session 4: 400
Session 6: 3900
Session 7: 2300
Mini Session 5: 5000
Session 8: not listed yet

So new characters should have minimum Level 9 XP + either 24750 or 23760, as well as whatever non-participants get for Session 8? ^^^ Also I'll try to get the most recent three logs up tomorrow.

I thought of a Deity that could fit Riawilde. Does this look good, Sky?

And the question to SC too, since we share lore. :P

Amatae
Classification: Lesser Deity
Goddess of the Tribes
Domains: Family, Protection, Community
Portfolio: Home, Clan, Love, Vigilance, Togetherness
Homeplane: Beastlands
Alignment: Neutral Good

Amatae is the Goddess of Elven Tribals, and is Neutral Good aligned. She is known as the 'Hearth Mother', or 'Hearts Defender', casually-for her realm encompasses many aspects of Elven life, from cooking to childbirth to family to romance to war. She is most often worshiped by Good aligned Elves, but only those who live the ancient ways. Modern city dwelling Elves do not remember her, though they may still pay subtle homage in their daily lives. Most of her worshipers aside from clerics, are either Druids who have learned to abandon their solitary lifestyle are welcomed into the fold, and fierce tribal defenders-Barbarians, Fighters, Rangers and Windblades-all of whom fight with a pure, divine anger against those who whom harm their families.

When she recognizes a threat that must be fought, she wields the spear 'Koehanna', though Amatae also enjoys fighting in the form of a divine beast, delving into the purest wells of righteous anger to fuel her attacks. She has no physical depiction-Tribes do not usually indulge in artistic reverie in her name. Her mere presence is enough.

Amataes favored weapon is the spear.

Amatae's home domain is not a specific place, but it's called the Great Journey-a sprawling, endlessly moving collection of virtuous Elven spirits, bound to her and each other, in eternal love. They primarily reside in the Beastlands, but roam Elysium, Arborea, Ysgard and the Outlands at will, respecting no boundary, and fighting ferociously anyone who would threaten their freedom.

Worship: Those who call upon Amatae's powers can never do so out of selfish reasons-she only deigns to hear those who have chosen to serve their Clan and Family. This involves a certain amount of self sacrifice, but Amatae reasons that if the community supports them in turn, all will benefit. Much like the Elves who worship her, Amatae and her followers are fluid and compromising, eternally adaptable and able to endure any hardship. Indeed, as her Patrons, Clerics of Amatae are expected to be good examples to their tribes, especially to the young-courage and ferocity in battle, temperance and wit in peace and a love of life itself are highly prized.

Amatae takes no place in the struggle between good and evil. While she approves of actions against potential evil threats to safeguard what you love, she strongly values neutrality-and not allowing ones own polarized morality to jeopardize the safety of your clanmates. Simply put, sometimes it is best to put up stakes and leave, rather than allow oneself to be drawn into a protracted battle between the forces of Good and Evil.

Amatae's followers don't have set lines of catechisms or rituals. Her name is not often invoked casually, for to do so it draw a great burden on yourself-but, in the case of tending to the death of a beloved clanmate- "Amatae sees you now" is often all that is said.

Holy Image:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Temples: Amatae's shrines are usually no more than her symbol, placed of white and black stones in the center of wherever the tribe is currently making their home, usually around the communal cooking pot-the size of  the circle depends on the tribe or group being protected. A lone cleric may spend little more than 10 minutes granting her Goddess's blessing to a campsite which she shares with a few friends.

Special pigments made from natural means may be substituted in the case of a truly permanent place, such as a Clan Meeting Hall.

Holy Symbols: Clerics of Amatae often carry the ritual stones used to mark when a clan has taken up a semi-permanent home themselves. Said stones are heavy-and each Cleric is tasked with bearing the weight of them, much as they bear the weight of their Clan and Family. Though Amatae prefers her clerics to think of the Clan first, leaving the stones behind tends to displease her-in times of sudden danger or casual camp movements, Amataes Clerics are supposed to be the first to arrive, and the last to leave.

Only problem I have is that she's Chaotic Neutral when her domains and portfolio clearly suggest Lawful (clan, family, protection, community, vigilance) Good (home, love, togetherness), as do her alternate names. It doesn't make sense for for her to be CN and encourage supporting anyone other than yourself (it is the 'selfish' alignment, after all), especially when one of her tenants is self-sacrifice for the greater good. ^^^

Hmm. I guess I was more paying attention to our own chars alignments.

I guess there's a reason we're adventurers. :P

Maybe Neutral Good/Lawful Neutral/true neutral?

Neutral Good, possibly, but I still see her stuff as Lawful. ^^^; Anyway, it's not like she has to match our alignments exactly. Toman (CG) worships St. Cuthbert (LN).

@SC: Ah, but only half of it is actually the lawful. Part of tending to the clan is the willingness to do unlawful things for good reasons.

Pretty much, the rules are there to be broken. :P

I'll go with Neutral Good right now.

CG... I thought CG was 'for the good, but by chaotic measure's? O_o

Also, loot list / xp list coming up shortly.

As an unrelated note, Battlemage needs to be nerfed.

*hint*
