No, that's actually fine - you need like what, 2 weeks to prepare&cast 250 ERs?

EDIT!

Minisession Three: The Random Number God Hates You

10 Lizardfolk felled.
1 young adult Black Dragon felled (by an NPC)

The party meets a strong dragon. Also, luck was not on our side.

An image of a strong sorcerer, who used Empowered Maximized Disintegrate, zapped the dragon (meaning 11th~13th level spells). She was Anarose.

Everyone in this encounter gets 600 + 200 xp. Everyone else 400 xp.

Will upload treasure soon.

Treasure: 600 gp per player
1 Cat's Grace potion
1 arcane scroll of See Invisibility.

Other than the two awesome Sutra attacks that took down a horde of Lizardfolk I had no luck. I rolled over 10 three times out of the 15 bolts I fired. Maybe I should invest in enchanted bolts, or maybe just a better RNG.

Let's see, I didn't roll above a 10 on any of my thorn attacks all night...except for the 20, which threatened and was followed by another 4.

Sorry for suggesting the session guys. This was just a waste of time.

The RNG really hated you people this session o_o Hopefully it'll get over it by Friday.

Also, Anarose isn't a random deux es machina (?) or something o_O Plans ahead!

Now for tomorrow, I need to (1) Create the second map that will happen after Nightwalker hunting (2) Finish up map if I can.

Here's a list and short description of the continents. Ask questions and I'll try to answer.

North-west: Ula. Humans dominate continent. Little arcane magic.

North: Hatred Island. A small island, with undead societys.

North-east: Noire. A large continent with advanced clockwork and steampunk. It has oppressed arcane magic for centuries. Mixed, but few elfs.

South-east: Audupu. Goblinoid continent with barren wasteland wedged between two mountainranges.

South: Myirki. Lush and warm, with jungles and forests. Elfs live in tribes.

South-west: unnamedyet. Dwarven continent with large volcano. Mostly fortress-states, with each fortress its own culture. All love alcohol and are impartial to violence, and eat many things.

Center: The Continent. Largest continent, and is mostly ruled by a large kingdom. Mixed races.

Ah okay. I understand what you mean now. Although it would have to be some pretty hardy paper (should be easy enough to make paper immune to force damage.)

Nah, wasn't a total waste. It proved that Fool and Shoruke were right and that Rae wasn't overpowered; rather, she is significantly underpowered to the point of being useless on anything above Goblins. :\ I'm gonna go ahead and drop her to the alt position and promote Toman up to main: he has a sort of character arc, which she doesn't; he can deal damage and tank better than she can by miles; and I'm loathe to use the Barbarian's class ability too much because I don't want to deal with the Fatigued condition after it expires. Because of that, the only things she has that he doesn't are that she can't be flanked, preventing Sneak Attacks (but his flatfooted AC is high enough that it's unlikely sneak attacks and flanking bonuses will matter much), she has a small bonus to evading traps, she has a small boost to resisting enchantments (which equals ::); he has a small boost on all of his will saves in combat and all his saves are higher by default anyway) and she's immune to sleep spells. I like her as a character, but she's basically the Dan Hibiki of the party.

o_o.... I now learned the powerfulness of dragons. Give 'em the feat snatch, and they would pretty much rule.

The Fatigued condition could be healed up to twice a day by Wheatly, who gets 1 6th level and 1 domain spell per day... with the spell heal.

But really, no questions about my world-in-making? (sadface)

EDIT: I also noticed some hours ago that empowered maximized disintegrate would deal not 40d6 * 150% damage, but 240 * 150% = 360 damage. It doesn't matter either way, though :P

:P I just got home, I'm tired, and I thought you were just letting us know what to expect, not asking us to comment on it. Anyway, it (fatigue) is a moot point. Toman's better equipped, better planned out, has more skills that are actually useful, is more effective at actually doing his job in the party, has a Will save modifier... About the only she has over him is that she doesn't have a -2 modifier to all ranged attacks, which he could easily overcome with Weapon Focus and a +1 ranged weapon. (And when he gets to Level 13, he'll have either a 30ft cone breath or 60 ft line breath weapon depending on what type of dragon I go with, which should help with the ranged attacking anyway.)

Do you people have a lot of gold between yourselves? It would be nice if you had enough gold to buy a permanent, mobile base- you coul hire artificers, appraisers...You could have a nice place to retire to between quests... And all that stuff.

I have 2,790 (Rae) and 190 (Toman) for a total of 2,980 altogether. There's still a bunch of loot we've yet to sell off and divide up, and I haven't been taking it account anything we've found because I've been waiting for someone a party member (edited for clarification. ^^^; ) who knows what they're doing (mainly Dwarmin and Fool until shoruke joined) to divide it up fairly. >.>

Actually I haven't taken a share of the gold since I started. Have we been dividing up the loot, or is all of it in a hammerspace pile that we haven't dealt with yet?

As far as I know, the only loot that was ever dealt with was that the haul from the first session was appraised, and then never distributed or sold excluding a few items (the bracer I took, the dagger and anklechain Dwarmin took. I think you and Elf grabbed something too but I can't remember what and I only have MapTools logs, not the IRC ones). ^^^;

Whenever we do deal with party loot I still have my character sheets on Mythweavers, so I can just look for the loot in Thenash's inventory.

Maybe we should ask Sky if we can get all this stuff appraised in thread. I'd be willing to use Rae's money to pay for all the appraisals. ^^^ After that, you know what the best set-up is, I trust you to distribute the loot to who it would most benefit and divide the resulting money from whatever we sell into equal shares.

Hmm, between my chars I have about 5K gold.

@SC: Ahh, but there's a big thing-when you're raging, Rae will far outdamage Toman. And sometimes that damage is the difference between our party winning or going splortch. If you had raged and managed to roll above a 10 this last session you would have put the Dragon down, no doubt about it-you just have to be smart when you do it. You were only at 15/10 to hit vs 24 AC on the drag, btw. So, it really was crap luck, not a messed up char.

As for ranged combat, you can do better than you think. Get a +6 Composite longbow (note this is the drawback strength, not the magical bonus) with some enchantments, that you can draw back when you're raging. You'll do good, and thats not even your main strength.

Really SC, you're falling for the same trap as I did. I thought Tali was...pretty useless, and then you reminded me that her strength was combat support-flanking, traps, locks etc. She's got her strengths and her weaknesses.

For barbarians, it's all about doing a bunch of damage really fast. And you do your job fine. Sometime we'll need Tomans high AC, othertimes we'll need Kanes damage output.

So don't be too down on Kanesrae. I really like her as a character, and good RP counts for a little bit anyway. :)
