I make 'em in MS Paint. :3

Nah, I do, but saying only that is a bit of a stretch. ^^^; If you don't know about it, there's a strategy RPG series called Fire Emblem. I have the portraits for each character from the GBA games; what I do is called in the spriting community 'Frankensteining.' Basically I took the head from one character, her clothes from one character, the feathers from two or three characters, free-handed the earring, slapped on a new pair of eyes, recolored the whole mess to match Rae's hair, eye, and skin color, copied over Rae's elven ear (made that myself), worked out all the rough edges to make it one smooth picture instead of an obvious composite, extended the hair slightly, added a touch of eyeshadow and reddened the lips, put it in my frame (also mine, and I use it as a sort of watermark. If you see anyone with an avatar with that border, like Talarion, I made the avvie :3), and found a suitable background.

Glad you like it. ^^^

Nah, that works SC.

It's exactly what I was hoping for-visually distinct, yet with noticeable similarities.

Excellent work as usual! I like the silver leaf hair clip, too. :3

A resounding success! ^^^

But now I'm a little bored. So, Sky, d'you want one? Only limitation is medieval wear; I mean, I could make one for Wheatly, if you wanted, or something else. ^^^

Can I make a vague request? Like : hair that is on the long side, silvery. Someone who looks ... 'enigmatic'. How do you look enigmatic? Maybe a faint smile. Also, doesn't have to be protagonist eyes >.>

You might be designing a major character. Or not. :3

OK. So you have no preference for male or female, and want me to randomize eye color, skin color, clothing/color, and any accessories?

Oh, yeah, female! Almost forgot that part :3 And maybe lightish skin.

Other than that, do whatever you want! :-0

I was wondering if I could bug you to approve my homebrew Druid spells, Skyrunner. :3

I used these in Shorukes D&D 3.5 game to some effect, and he approved them both.

Spoiler: Produce Lightning (click to show/hide)
^Slightly advanced version of Produce Flames, using double damage types and goes up to caster level 10

Spoiler: Typhoon Mote (click to show/hide)
^Actually never used this one before.  :X

Edit: I should also add that Typhoon Mote only gave concealment on ranged attacks.

Also, Skyrunner: Your order is complete!

What do you think of these? I wasn't sure about some elements, so I made four variants: One base, one with hand in picture, one with jeweled hairclip, and one with both.

I also went for lightish skin, but darker than Rae and Ria to stand out a little more. I can lighten it to their tones if you'd like, though. ^^^

Question for everyone in general: I'm thinking maybe the problem is that Rae is actually throwing off game-balance a little. :\ Everyone seems underpowered because she hits really hard and often, and Rage just makes her more powerful. Should I respec her as a fighter, or some other melee class? I don't want to get rid of the character (any editing would only be to class because I like her personality and everything), just class-change her.

Trust me. My character might out do you in damage soon. If I move and attack from the shadows, and hit twice I'll deal [1d4+2d6]+[1d4+2d6]+[5d6+8] damage (average of 43). I think we'll be just fine for damage. Now to buy the items that increase skirmish damage...

Feel free to use an AoE spell at me anytime Sky, as long as I don't die I'll be fine. :P

@D

All two approved. Some questions:

1. What happens when a vortex meets an obstacle? Like a wall? Does it stop, rebound, attack said object...?

2. How 'smart' is it, programming wise? Is it 'go 10 meters this way, if you meet someone then go thataway' or can you actually do 'attack nearest enemy'?

3. Creature or spell? Does it go through Anti-Magic Fields(creature?) or does it dissipate on contact?

Ooh, pretty :-D I like the base!

@D's second comment

... ChainLightningz!

BTW, do you people know if you can use a high level slot for a lower level spell? Say, someone is crazy for magic missiles and wants to use spell slots from 1~4, all for MM?

With Empower and Maximize metamagic, sure, you can use higher level slots for lower level spells. I don't know about otherwise. ^^^; I did at one point In NWN2 - Storm of Zehir play a wizard 10/Arcane Scholar of Candlekeep 10/Red Wizard of Thay 10 relying on the upgrade. I believe it's called (mage name, think it's Isaac)'s Missile Storm? I'll have to look.

Also, glad you like it. ^^^

EDIT: Isaac's Lesser Missile Storm and Isaac's Greater Missile Storm. They're pretty similar to Magic Missile, and you can pick up ILMS at spell level 4.

@Sky

1. If it can't go through, then it would probably stop, awaiting orders or just banging against the wall if it's acting on a program. The spell specifies it only stops to damage creatures. Light objects in the way would probably get thrown about as well.

2. I assume it can follow only the simplest directions-stick to one target, hit closest foe to you, protect ally.
It should be able to differentiate between friend and foe and act accordingly, acting on those orders every round in order of importance. For example, I could do below

Quote from: Example Orders
1. Do not collide with Allies
2. Attack the Goblin with the Big Nose

*or*

1. Go forward 40 ft once
2. Attack closest enemies

*or*

1. Do not hit Sister
2. Attack everything she attacks

If then statements and similar shouldn't be legal, I think-no "Hit the Goblin, then if he's dead hit another one".

3. It's a spell like thingy, like a wall of fire. I assume anti-magic would dissipate it.

Still thinking of alts in case I ever need them, so I figure I'll ask:

Would a True Samurai be an acceptable character class? (Since the weapon choice isn't limited to just the katana, I'd probably immediately go Spartan or Knight but use that as my class, mechanically speaking.)

There's always Sorcerer if not. ^^^

The only feature that concerned me personally was the Extended Chi feature. Those magic weapon bonuses cost money for a reason, and by level 12 you have a free +6 worth of weapon effects and a +3 enhancement bonus (a +9 weapon), which would normally cost 162,000g. Considering you can have your own effects that you bought on top of it, or just not buy weapon enchantments at all, I'd say that the feature is broken.

For reference you have roughly 110,000g if you don't spend a single gold coin until level 12.
