I hope we do! We could use a caster (or another tank) of any kind; the current party is a barbarian (me) and three rogues (albeit all different specialties; Dwarmin is melee and traps, Fool is hiding/sneaking and ranged attacks, and IAAEC is a doppleganger so diplomacy is his thing).

I'm also aiming to be sort of an off tank to SC's char.

We could def. use an offensive caster or a healer.

Also, I believe good GM's don't really have the luxury of turning down decent players who attend regularly. Sometimes not everyone can attend every time, so the more people you have the more likely a session comes off. :P

Alright, I'll see what I can do about building a caster...
Skyrunner, I should apologize to you in advance, when I request things for character generation I tend to request a lot of things all at once. Just ask Red about my level 2 Archivist...

Incidentally, are Archivists from Heroes of Horror (pg 82) okay?

*Looks it up*

It sounds pretty interesting. I don't know if I'd use it personally (I hate keeping up with spells ^^^; ) but having a scholar of divine magic around would be a cool addition to the group; we could use a dedicated 'smart guy'. I don't know if she'll allow it or not (@Skyrunner: if you want to know anything about it, just ask me or shoruke, I have the book too so I can give you a run-down) but I can give you a few other details to help with character creation:

Characters start at Level 9.
Characters start with 33,500 GP.
Flaws and Traits are in.

Yeah, we need someone to:

A. Replace Wheatly.
B. Be a magic caster.
C. Back up Alith in diplomacy and bluffing with your smarts.

You are correct!

In many ways!

Skyrunner, I should apologize to you in advance, when I request things for character generation I tend to request a lot of things all at once.

TheFool probably did more than that :3 He drew from about 3 or 4 sourcebooks!

And I do have Heroes of Horror.

Archivist sounds fun too. Guess I'll have to create some sort of way to gain new spells?

Also, shoruke, you can start as level 9 with 500 xp to go - that's a little less than Zario, who is lvl 9 with some 2~4 hundred xp until level up.

The real reason I came: Anyone up for a semi-canon random encounter today, perhaps 4 or later?

No... Shoruke referenced a LOT of books when he made the Archivist for Red's campaign. There are spells in nearly every book, which basically means he's going to reference most of them.

Zario's from the Mabinogion. I think you're thinking of Thenash. Speaking of Thenash, I should probably write a character journal.

I can attend for a mini-encounter. The extra experience would be nice.

Heh, lets do it. Count me in. :3

Worse comes to worse, since it's a non-canon encounter, I could dual control SC's character if he has to leave before we're done.

Ooh, quite a response!

Then four it is.

Yes, I meant Thenash :P

Also, if I read correctly, an archivist would need to find spells? Is that true or not?

The real reason I came: Anyone up for a semi-canon random encounter today, perhaps 4 or later?

;_; @history test in college tonight... I can't skip... Well, at least I can play for awhile before I have to leave.

Too bad then :(

Due to slight problems with computer acquirment, I won't be on for a while.

I hope you will be able to solve that problem soon. Still, be sure to count your non-encountered XP.

Heh, lets do it. Count me in. :3

Yay, three people! :3

3 or 4 sourcebooks? Only? I am disappoint, TehFool.
Hmm, I'm thinking I'll go for a wizard who can dish out boatloads of arcane punishment...

Racial Paragon Classes (most specifically Human)(base classes, UArcana)
Explosive Spell (metamagic, cArc, pg 79): Push targets outside the area of the spell, dealing damage the farther they are thrown. (I'd also like to clarify, if this is used on a spell with a 'line' area of effect, are targets pushed 5' to the side or backwards to the end of the spell's range?)
Twin Spell (metamagic, cArc, pg 81): Spell happens twice (to the same target, all choices must be the same, both iterations must be resisted/dispelled/saved against separately)
Energy Admixture (metamagic, cArc, pg 78): If you have Energy Substitution, deal a spell's damage again in that element
Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil (Prestige class, cArc, pg 44): specializes in making wards that are painful to pass through (go go gadget NYANRAPE)
Diversified Casting (feat, Dragon Magazine 325 (which I don't actually own, but the feat can be found on page 93 of this listing)): learn three spells from one of your prohibited schools
Master Specialist (Prestige class, cMage, pg 70): get some benefits based on what kind of specialist wizard you are

Welp, off to class, I'll have more stuff to request later (spells, items)... I don't think I'll have this guy's sheet ready today >.>
