I was caught, not because of timezone issues. I was caught with the netbook I use for Maptools, so I won't be able to start until Saturday GMT.

For my level up, I'm taking...

LEVEL-UP ADJUSTMENTS
Level up in Street Fighter [4]
5 HP
6 Skill points (6 skill points into tumble)
BAB increase +1, to 9/4
+1 Fort save
Gained Stand Tough/2 a day

----------------------------------------------

How was the session?
Aye, SC hit the most points. We had time for a little RP and lots of fighting, which is how it should be.

Things to improve on?
We seem to be doing good so far. :)

Ideas on how to obliterate the goblin army?
I move out of the balllista range first, then figure if I set up the wizard to get taken down by SC. Then work my way around and start sneak attacking, tripping and aiding attack.

After this dungeon, you will have your first story exposition! : D

Nice. ^^^ I've started work on a character journal for Kanesrae but I'll hold off on editing it into my post on the first page of this thread until we get that story exposition, see if what I've got needs to change to square up. :3

Ooh, I see you have an ad in your siggy! :D Thanks - especially since I, the DM, didn't do that >.> (mumbles about siggy space)

In other news, I also planned for a battle tied into the story.
According to the Encounter Calculator, challenge rating is 'Deadly', and advice is "Run Away!"

..Just to build up tension and stuff :3

Okay, then, to work! (fires Maptools up)

Double post makes me rather guilty feeling, but...

I can't seem to decide on a boss monster: it has to be smart, powerful. Preferably Lawful.
Also has to not be good... It's rather hard. Anyone have ideas, despite the fact it makes the boss battle less climatic?

(Oh, DC from 10~15)

What about Kolyarut (MM1, p.159)? Surprise! You've all been marked for death by someone posing as a god, and inevitables are hunting you. Have fun with that.

I can't sneak attack constructs, so I'd be all but useless in that fight. It has a lot of damage reduction and lots of HP, just one would be enough to pose a large threat.

I'd look through the back of the monster manual for monsters since it's sorted by CR on the last few pages. Remember, devils are lawful as well, so there is also that option.

We could always fight a Beholder for classic D&D goodness. :P

Ah, hah hah hah... good one Dwarmin. :3 Take on a Beholder without any sort of magic defense? Do you WANT a TPK? :C I mean, 26 AC, +22 Spot (meaning it could probably beat everyone's Hide checks) +9 to hit on its eye-rays, which have Disintegrate, Finger of Death, Charm Person, Flesh to Stone, Sleep? It could own us seven ways from Sunday. :C That wouldn't be a fight, it would be a massacre. It could end this easily:

Turn One: Beholder uses Sleep on Tali (or Thenash, if he's susceptible to it); everyone is probably out of range to attack since its rays reach up to 150 feet
Turn Two: Beholder uses Charm Person on Kanesrae
Turn Three: Kanesrae probably fails Charisma Check, activates Rage, uses Coup de Grace on sleeping person while Beholder Disintegrates the other one
Turn Four: Kanesrae probably fails Charisma Check, she and Beholder double team Alith
Turn Five: Beholder uses Flesh to Stone or Finger of Death on Kanesrae. TPK

Not saying it WOULD turn out like that... but it's possible. :-\

Heh.

Maybe now, yeah. :P

But I got a plan to deal with my crappy Will save in the future-maybe you can use some of these ideas SC.

1. Steadfast Determination Feat (Let's my CON determine Will saves instead of WIS. But takes Endurance feat as a base feat, which is not so hot unless we're going to be doing alot of drowning or starving in the desert.. You might be able to fit this in, SC-if you multiclass in a single level of fighter for the bonus feat.)
2. Amulet of Health (Boosts CON, with above means Fort and Will saves get raised, along with my HP. :3 )
3. Cloak of Resistance (Boosts all saves! Pretty cheap too.)
4. Mindarmor (Armor Enchantment costs a flat 3k instead of a plus bonus, and gives +5 to Will saves for an entire turn, 3/times a day)

Hmm. It would still only boost my Will saves to +3 (+3 base-3+3) so it's not THAT helpful. Magic items aren't that expensive, I could probably pick up a ring that has +3 will saves on it for a couple of grand (should've done that before, but I wanted that elven chainmail :3). I'm not too enthused about the idea of multi-classing either since I'm neither Human nor a Wizard, so my XP would get all messed up. :-\ Speaking of that I'm probably just going to go straight Barbarian with this character; Frenzied Berserker doesn't look like it's worth it. OK, yes, Supreme Cleave/Supreme Power Attack look awesome, but it's not worth ten levels to get SPA, and I want to get to 17 with Barbarian first for Tireless Rage before I worry about Supreme Cleave. Wait. Actually, Diehard at first level sounds pretty nice. I still need to get Destructive Rage and Intimidating Rage before I can take it, though. :\

*keeps reading*

Holy shit, Improved Power Attack gives +3 damage for every -1 to attack when used two-handed weapons? I usually use -3 so that's +9 instead of +6... Five levels might actually be worth it, especially since I can pick up Great Cleave sometime while leveling FB and basically become a tornado of destruction on the battlefield. :3 (Unlimited Cleaves per round from Great Cleave and the ability to take a five-foot step once while Cleaving from Supreme Cleave = many dead enemies.) Destructive Rage is kind of crap (ooh, +8 to strength to break things. I hardly ever Sunder anyway :P) but Intimidating Rage looks awesome (pick a target within 30 feet and inflict them with Shaken? Nice). Instantaneous Rage is nice too (start Rage even during other people's turns, like before a spell hits me to take advantage of higher Con? Hell yeah :3).

EDIT: Checked the wiki and... this. So hard. :3 It would make multi-classing worth it. I can see it now: Get intimidating rage at level 12, at level 14 multi-class into monk, then at 15 back into Barbarian and grab Destructive Rage, then prestige into Frenzied Berserker for five levels and pick up Ascetic Savage at 18 to make me a lvl 15 Monk and Barbarian (where it counts, namely unarmed damage and rage per day). If we go into epic levels, I'll probably end up as Barbarian 24/Monk 1/Frenzied Berserker 5. At level 21 I'd grab Improved Ascetic Savage (for moar speed), at 24 Great Cleave and Terrifying Rage, at 27 Improved Martial Arts for more damage (+7 damage, thereabout), at 28 probably Epic Prowess or Armor Skin, and at 30... hmm... Mollarok's Fist? Or Cunning Rage, that eliminates the -2 AC penalty... :3

What's to stop Alith from:
A. making the beholder join us
B. not getting turned due to Incredibly Loyal
C. reconverting Kanesrae if she turns on us?
