I carefully and politely demand(?) fluff!

(Which also happens to be fun to read)

Au contraire!

I'll write some fluff, though. I might also change his alignment to true neutral, fitting with his class and name.

I will also point out that drow have a level adjustment. You'd be starting at a lower level that what you have. Unless you're using a homebrew or improvising a race based on elves.

I don't mind a Drow rebel though. It would be interesting.

:P I knew that would happen!

TVtropes whoo!

Yeah, I don't care /that/ much. Still, LG seems kinda far away from Drows, who seem to be usually CE.

I will also point out that drow have a level adjustment.

That's already factored in; I'm assuming the rules for reducing level adjustment are allowed, though.

Question:

Is spell resistance a large factor? O_o

Oh? We can use level adjustment buy-off? :D

Now the Saint will have more HP.

I think I'll condense my Angel homebrew to a 5 level prestige, lower my spell resistance a bit, and lock out any spell-likes past 10 HD. I'll update the block I sent a while ago to show what I had in mind, but it'll have to wait until Shoruke's campaign is done for the day.

Spell Resistance means that there is a chance of spell auto-failing. I wouldn't worry too much about it if the spell resistance is around than the enemies level, since it would only be maybe 10% chance of failure. Handy, but not too overpowered.

I didn't say yea or nae to the LA buy-off thing, mostly because I don't understand what it is, the pro/cons of it, and other et cetra related stuff...

Also, if SR equals 10 + class level, it would be 21 (at lvl 11), right? Then, since the SR check is caster level + 1d20, a 11th level wizard would have to get a 10 or higher, meaning a handy 50% chance to miss...right? :/

Yes. That is right. I figured that that wouldn't be a problem with all the level 15 wizards we're running into.

Well, I was planning on not continuing that high-level trend and focusing on level-appropriate encounters, but if you ask for it...  8)

Also, I'm wondering if anyone will challenge an epic wizard for a duel. Probably either this week or the next :3

Whoops, I forgot to change the SR. I'll fix that.

The LA buy-off is good for the player. Instead of permanently having two levels of LA, I can reduce that to one and then zero at levels 6 and 9. I don't get to level up at those levels, but my exp resets back to having just reached the level before it; this way, I would be slightly behind the party for a bit, but then would catch back up in levels and be rid of my LA.

@Sky: I just found this spell...it's pretty cool. :P

http://dndtools.eu/spells/complete-scoundrel--60/winged-watcher--920/

I figure it's also pretty powerful, a low level self poly I can use pretty easily. So! I was thinking this would be a good test of the Spirit Shaman spell getting thingy, as laid out below.

Spoiler: suggestion! (click to show/hide)

Can Ria attempt to learn it this way? I figure, we start it off in the Npc-Interaction thread, and if there's combat, we'll handle that right off at the start of our next session, perhaps if do it a bit earlier than start. Also, I'd like to try and earn a seagull form as well, in addition or to the exclusion of Owl or Raven.

Quick question about the setting: is it mostly cities? Or are we also trekking through wilderness and whatnot?

Well, there's a map on the OP. I had a short description of each continent somewhere in the middle of this thread...

Here's a list and short description of the continents. Ask questions and I'll try to answer.

North-west: Ula. Humans dominate continent. Little arcane magic.

North: Hatred Island. A small island, with undead societys.

North-east: Noire. A large continent with advanced clockwork and steampunk. It has oppressed arcane magic for centuries. Mixed, but few elfs.

South-east: Audupu. Goblinoid continent with barren wasteland wedged between two mountainranges.

South: Myirki. Lush and warm, with jungles and forests. Elfs live in tribes.

South-west: unnamedyet. Dwarven continent with large volcano. Mostly fortress-states, with each fortress its own culture. All love alcohol and are impartial to violence, and eat many things.

Center: The Continent. Largest continent, and is mostly ruled by a large kingdom. Mixed races.

Until now, there were no encounters in cities.  (mostly because city maps are hard to make)
