Oh, my bad :P @ Bards

Crystals? Nope.

Quote from: Magic Item Compendium
An augment crystal is a small gem, crystal, or similar object
that provides a magical effect when affi xed to a weapon, shield,
or suit of armor (or any other magic item that grants an armor
bonus to AC).

Also, Collision is magic : Aura: Moderate; (DC 18) transmutation

...I hope you remember the fact that enchantments greater than +2 must be done either by yourselves, by finding an artificer that is skilled enough, or by going to a large city. >.>

Therefore, you shall hire an artificer! And an enchanter! And a potion brewer! Muhaha (?)

EDIT : Making enemy PCs is fun! :3

For the team crafter, would that be a PC or an NPC? If its a PC, you'll have hard time, since y'know, making stuff costs XP for some strange reason.

Oh, NPC away then!

Also, XP costs for items are because enchanters literally put a portion of their spirit into the things they create. It's why small time enchanters in tiny towns cannot consistently create anything above a +2 enchantment, otherwise they would start regressing in levels. Now, adventurers like Ria can craft much higher, with a constant stream of experience to infuse their artifacts with. :3

As for the cleric/ranger/paladin/bard spells, that's rather iffy. Especially if you consider that bards are arcane casters, and most of their spells are from the sorcerer/wizard list.

Well, I wouldn't be taking arcane spells...

I meant like, snagging Eagle's splendor, for example.

Though in retrospect, it'd probably just be easier to buy a potion...so I'll probably just concentrate on custom stuff.

Remember, you could increase the difficulty if I go to far out of my league! Grumpy Paladin spirits will be loath to give up their holy spells. :P

Mmm, good idea.

Also, can someone evaluate this custom class made for a single NPC only? As in its unbalanceness compared to other classes.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

ATM, I can't tell whether its overpowered, on the edge, or weak.

... It is, at least, thematic.

That's almost a monk that can toss in a spell at the end. The AC increase is quite high. +4 AC would be the same as a monk at level 20.

Assuming that you have 16 strength and you hit all 7 times, that would be:

6d8+18+15d6 (Orb of Acid added)

Which is 39-156 damage (or 97 damage on average). That is a lot of damage, but it's a full-attack. From what I can see wizards can use 15d6 spells in 20 ft. cylinders at that point, but it also eats a spell at the same time. I'd say that you need to lower your number of attacks by one to balance out the damage.

Your standard attacks however are broken. If you hit once, you can use a chaser for an orb attack. That's 1d8+2+15d6 as a standard attack. No class does that kind of damage as a standard action without some kind of cost (spell slots or otherwise).

You also gain chasers too quickly. If you get one for each hit and you attack 6 times you have 6 chasers. You can use all 5 chaser abilities and still have one for later. One per attack is plenty.

EDIT: So I'm making another back-up with more flavor than the monk. I'm making a Warforged Saint. He uses a mask with emoticons on it to communicate since he has taken a vow of silence, plants grow in his presence, and he has a ferocious hate of evil. If he does notice something he'll have no way of telling people. He can speak every language, but doesn't. I personally find the concept very amusing.

EDIT2: Since we have a somewhat aquatic environment I'll take a large shark as a mount. This character just gets more and more epic.

Make sure to add your backups to the ship map :3

Better if I change the following?

Weapon Finesse, bonus feat
Chasers are created per enemy damaged, not per hit
Chaser buffs are a swift action.
Chaser orb attacks' damage (not other attributes) cap at 5d6
Chaser buffs are not affected by 'quicken spell-like ability'.
Extreme Mobility apparently is not related to mobility. More like 'Spring Attack'.

Question.

I'm thinking of doing a one level dip into cleric for Riawilde. Does anyone know if domain spells I get based on my cleric level, or my overall caster level?

Answer.

You'll get a +1 Domain spell for your 1st spell level. None more.

Usually, a class's spell levels are valid only within that class.

EDIT : YAY ITS TOMORROW! :D

Also, slightly formatted Battlemage :

The server will be open from now. If enough people show up before 4, we will start earlier than normal.

Otherwise, it will be 4 :3

The reason for this is two-pronged. One, chatting for fun :3 Two, I need to prepare all the stuff right now, because I can't use Maptools on other days.

Therefore, the server is up.

This time, I'm experimenting with 'individual views'. If it is too bothersome, I'll turn it off. Basically you can only see what your character can see (as in, you can't see creatures that are outside your sight range. You can still see terrain others reveal.)

I disconnected, and now I can't get back. Did this happen to anyone else?

FAKEEDIT: That answers that.

I'm setting up a Freenode server so we can finish RPing.
