The 'asking around' part should be done in the new NPC interaction thread, like a traditional Play-By-Post RP.

The Angel Disciple class thing ... I think it wants Divine magic because of the 'angel' motif. I'd vote it should be changed to '1 level of any spellcasting': in D&D, 'angels'(Celestials) and 'demons' and 'devils' have little connection to religion, IIRC.

For the tower, I think the island is about a half day's sailing away from the port on a small two-masted ship. In other words, it is roughly 50 miles away at a speed of 3 knots.

I found this! What effect do you think this will have on a ships travelling time? Granted, Ria can keep it up for 24 hours straight if she doesn't bother to sleep...

Hmm... It'll probably not be worth it, seeing as most ships can sail pretty well under most wind. It does seem like it will help on days with winds blowing the opposite way or on calm days.
Two sad side-effects: Luke's cat will probably be either blown away or checked. Second... Can't sleep?

The speed will probably be the listed, best-conditions speed...

Ahh, then I'll save it for when we get caught in a Doldrums, or need boost of speed to escape pursuing Krakens.

Luke hastily noted that schooner and the galleon were by far the best options available at the port authority. "Thanks for your time. I'll be sure to come back tomorrow morning after I discuss all this with my colleges. We'll definitely be buying a ship in the morning." Luke was about to turn and leave when he had a sudden realization, they had no crew. "Where would you suggest finding a crew for a ship? It's unlikely that I'd run into a full crew of unemployed sailors by just asking in the streets."

Just thought I would point out my NPC Interaction post, rather than bog down the other thread with OOC stuff.

Whoops, I was thinking of answering that today morning last night, and sleep made me forget. I'll edit my post.

Well, I made a THIRD alt char.

This one is strictly bench right now, not active duty. Someone'll have to die first! I've always found a back up char helps take the sting out of character death, anyway.

http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetview.php?sheetid=370948

Included here for various lore reasons-or if Sky wants to do some plot around Riawilde and needs an idea for a premade char-and the image is strictly placeholder until SC works his avatar magic one day. :P

Quote from: Main Session 4
* Kanesrae inspects Ria more closely and finally notices the ornament.
   Kanesrae:    "That's pretty. When did you get that?"
* Riawilde smiles self consciously.
   Riawilde:    "It is pretty...I...met someone."
* Kanesrae thinks about that for a moment, then gets it and smiles hugely.
* Kanesrae bounces excitedly, taking Ria's other hand.
Kanesrae:    "Who was it?"
Riawilde:    "You might remember him... Bael."
* Kanesrae smiles.
   Kanesrae:    "Sort of. He was the Kanes with red hair and green eyes, right? Tallish?"
   Kanesrae:    "Or am I thinking of Tahl?"
   Riawilde:    "Yes to the first one...and here was I, thinking a Kanes would be too brutish for my tastes. No-he is more than I thought."
* Kanesrae slugs Ria playfully.
   Kanesrae:    "Calling me brutish."

I notice Kanesbreo has brown hair and a different name, but is also in love with Ria. Are we in for some drama down the line, perhaps? :3

Anyway, here's a take. Facial tattoos are kind of Rae's thing (to denote her (former) status as a berserker) and I didn't think I could pull off camo stripes too well.

I would have been on it earlier but I got sick and have been napping on and off, and just now saw the post. ^^^;

EDIT: To fix the link, didn't c&p the whole thing like an idjit. >.>
