You designed an encounter where we had to use our brains a bit.

I really liked that encounter, actually. I may be an outlier in this histogram of preference, but it was fun having to get creative with spells. I guess it raised my enjoyment of playing a wizard, as opposed to playing a munchkinned cat.

Seeing that many people just don't have time on weekdays/ends, I'm not sure.

I think that Iot7V really is overpowered; also, wizards can really only be countered with other wizards. I suppose I could houserule or houserrata stuff like 'wards are dispellable' or 'feat Mage Killer counts either your natural range OR 10 ft, the larger one as your threaten range for the purposes of the Mage killer feat', but I'm not the best expert on balance and rules...

The Mage Killer propose houserule prevents the mage from 5ftstepping and blasting rays in your face. Other repercussions are unknown.

Apparently on Zeal's PrC Tier List, IotSVs are up two tiers unless DMs rule that antimagic fields dispel them. I'd guess that having them be dispellable would bring them down to nearly normal wizard level.

And if there is the opportunity for a session tomorrow, I'd be available.

Seeing that wizards are already Tier One, it means they become either Tier Minus One or Minus Two.

That PRC list doesn't seem to take into account that anyone who takes Dragon Disciple isn't playing a caster; they're doing the exact same thing I did and took a single level of Bard to meet all the entry requirements. Blindsense, elemental breath, claws/teeth, wings, and at level 10 darkvision, immunity to sleep/paralysis/breath element, and a total of +4 natural AC and +8 STR/+2 CON/INT/CHA is pretty nice for a melee fighter. :3

And I need to get Magekiller for Drake. It'd be nice to prevent defensive casting in a 30 foot radius around him. :3

Session end D:

I took too long preparing, and we only were able to do like an hour forty.
Let's continue this next week or so.

Hopefully it'll work next time. What happened at this session? Was it an actual session, or a mini-session?

@Araph: A hybrid session. ^^

Sky made a big map with lots of encounters.

I don't mind today's interruption-next time we can do a mini session we'll have the whole thing ready to go.

The party entered an evil castle to get Shadowhoney for Lyliss, heh.

As for the fight, Ria light blasted a Shadowwing into (flying cousin of Shadowwalker), and then we waded in against the animated armors and strangely not attacking wisps. S'all.

However, my parents promptly left again..

I think everyone's busy, right? Until next time, then D:
