I get Reverse Gravity for "free", by copying it from that scroll. And, thanks to mah speshul book, I don't need to pay inscription costs!
I need one abjuration at least...
-Spell Turning could be kinda useful... I guess. We don't seem to fight a lot of offensive casters though, mostly just horrific monsters with matchingly horrific SR.
-Energy Immunity seems kinda nice. If nothing else, magma diving. (BYO Air)
-Banishment... hm. We don't seem to fight anything at all without good saves and SR, but if I bring a lot of random crap that extraplanar things hate (hello holy water) I can make it nigh-impossible to resist...
-- everything evil seems to hate that our ship is sanctified, if I bring a bunch of bags with 10 sanctified rocks each and throw them all into the air as I cast the spell... I wonder if that would stack properly, probably not...
-If we gave everyone in our group some way to see invisibility, Mass Invisibility could be somewhat broken in a hilarious way. It turns ALL CREATURES within about 550' invisible, until someone attacks someone else. And yes, I do have ways to attack people without casting spells
on them or directly attacking them... yes, even without any conjuration spells available...
-Project Image sounds like it could be a fun spell, but I want a way to alter my Line of Effect before I start developing tricks that rely on it. For instance, if I could create a spell that allows me to ignore Line of Effect (but not Line of Sight) restrictions... oh the abuse potential. Oh GODS yes.
-Greater Shadow Conjuration could be useful... duplicate almost any conjuration spell, but targets get a Will Save to get only 60% of the effects. I could summon a Shadowy Celestial Elephant! What DF players *wouldn't* want to do that?
-Finger of Death could be useful for obvious reasons, but I already have the Green Veil... and I also got Double Warding with this most recent level, so yeah.
-Changestones sounds like it could be kinda useful, allowing me to bring a bunch of portable meat shields with me, if only I had the Underdark book so I could look Liths up... Google won't even help me, they think I'm looking for some Underdark port city called Lith Somethingorother...
-Gemjump could be useful, but then again maybe not.
-Simbull's Spell Sequencer could be kinda useful, but... second-level spells don't have much capacity for dishing out damage at this point... wait... 2 Scorching Rays as a free action? 24d6 fire damage for free? Hm, interesting.
-And then there's Limited Wish, which I won't be taking so that Skyrunner allows me to continue participating
