I made an avatar for Ikkeeliou.

I think I'm going to try and make a more serious story that would explain the lawful evil alignment rather than a light-hearted story of lasers and cats... Well... It might still have a cat. :P

Weird that I missed the poll up till now. O-o

It seems we've already got enough votes for what Sky suggested anyway. I agree! :3

As it turns out Ray of Ice isn't 10d6, it's 5d6. I'll be swapping it out for Rainbow Beam, another level 2 spell (also SC). Hooray for random energy types. Now to try not to run into things with energy resistances.

EDIT: I figure I may as well let everyone know my new character's more serious story.

Ikkeeliou was thrown out her Illumian Cabal's wizard academy after submitting a faulty thesis on Rainbow Beam spells and creating an accidental portal that took her cat familiar. She silently accepted her exile from the academy and set off towards the nearest town swearing revenge on the cabal the entire way. She fixed her thesis to work properly, but decided that she'd rather use it against them rather than let them have it. She set off to find the Words that Made Flesh that made her people. If they wouldn't respect her then they would all die. She set out to the nearest ruin she could find.

After failing time and time again to find the Words she didn't give up. She had gained many scars from her travels, growing more and more bitter with each scar. Many looked at her with a mix of pity and fear because of all her scars; an attitude she learned to hate. She started hitching rides with different adventurers heading in all directions in hopes of finding some kind of hidden ruin. She'd found many nestled in mountains, and many more underground, but none of them held her prize. Money was a nice bonus, but it wasn't what she wanted at all. Once she had that book she could return and take the cabal by force. No one would dare stand in her way while she holds the book that can lead to their undoing.

Uh, I may have gone slightly overboard with the king and his advisers.

Can someone evaluate them please? xD

For starters, everyone has at least +28 to armed attacks.

They each have some spell-likes, and DR, SR, healing, Large ... They have one good and two bad saves, seven or so feats each, and most abilities in the 20s.

...I know that this isn't a lot of info, but I want to make them a surprise! xD

Considering I'm bringing in Ikkeeliou I think we'll be just fine. She has +21 on checks to beat SR, and she does tons of damage. I'm sure the advisers are fine.

What?

+21? o_o

How in the...

.... Anyhow, what about the other, non-minmaxed-people? >.>

The king has a nasty surprise, by the way.

Alright, I admit I'm pretty min-maxed with my one-shot character.

Let's see what we have here...

1. 7 feats means that they are at least level 18. How many of them are there?

2. +28 is similar to a dragon attacking you. Armor is going to do nothing and none of us have displacement cloaks, so you just need to be sure that no one can be one shotted.

3. DR normally isn't a problem unless it's like 10/- or 15/-, but even then Rae and a few others won't have a problem.

4. SR shouldn't be a problem for me, but Rudra and Anya might have a problem since I don't think either invested in spell penetration feats and items.

5. If the DR is high then you might want to consider dropping fast healing because you'll be chipping at enemies as is. If you mean a cleric or something like that it's alright as long as it's obvious who's healing the enemies.

I think I'll bring Bryce along for that encounter then. Dirge isn't nearly powerful enough to fight against such enemies, and will probably die horribly if I play him like in the last few battles. <.<

With Bryce I should be okay though, assuming I don't fail too often on the miscast chances. I'll even provide some additional meatshields with him.

Replacing the flooring where I live, and there's a slim-to-none chance that I'll be able to stop by the time the session starts. At best I might be able to make it two or three hours late.

Probably isn't. I'll see if I can talk my way out of it, or at least into delaying until Saturday, but I'm not going to get my hopes up since it's unlikely.

It might be outrageously early, but I'm setting up the IRC. I'm not doing much else, so I may as well.

It might speed up the NPC thread. I have no idea.
