Questions~
(A) How was the session?
(B) Things ta fix?
(C) How were the portrayals of the prominent NPCs, mainly:
(i) Ediacaran
(ii) Bano
(iii) Musketeers
A.
Good, as usual... right up until Ediacaran showed up. I had great fun mowing down a small squad of mooks all at once with Firebrand
"DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW, BANO?!?"
B.
The party-level enemies are cheeeeeap
SR 26?
Caster Level TWENTY FIVE HOLY CRAP for Greater Dispel? (incidentally, even Greater Dispel only allows you to get up to +20 to the roll from your caster level. Those rolls should have been 1d20+20. It's Greater because normal Dispel Magic only allows a max of 1d20+10)
Oh, and Quickened Spell Turning. That's even dirtier than my tricks!
Also, see question C (i).

(i) It would have been one thing if she showed up as Boss Fight #2, with the option to either kill her and her mooks or talk her down, but she was both realistically unbeatable AND we had good reason to kill her with extreme prejudice. Let's rate her "we should talk this out" attribute.
-Assisting an omnicidal maniac? Check.
-Betrayed her friend? Check.
-Acting hostile towards the PCs? Double check.
-General douchebaggery towards the PCs before combat is joined? Double check.
-Sicced her legion against the humans? Check.
-Riding a WMD (stolen from hell itself) on feet? Check.
-Bothers to actually talk about ANYTHING, AT ALL, EVER? Negative four checks. I *still* don't know what that second threat she was talking about is, and I asked like four times!
The ONLY reasons we talked her down were because she was functionally unbeatable, and because Sky kept dropping OOC hints that we were supposed to be trying to reason with the omnicidal maniac whose agenda explicitly involves killing wizards like me. You know, for my own good and the good of those around me, like any perfectly reasonable person would say to the wizard who just helped stop an undead army from destroying an entire continent.
(ii.)
Cocky little bastard deserved what he got. SO satisfying to
kill destroy him.
(iii.)
They buggered off so fast it was kind of weird, and I thought for sure they were going to multishot Kanesrae to death, since apparently Muskets are stronger than other firearms by a large enough margin that they ignore armor... Generally didn't like them, but they didn't actually get in our way much, so they average out at "meh, NPCs".
