Uh... I might have forgotten to save the log. :X But iirc that's what you were doing. How is Tumbling Feint supposed to work?

@SC: Mostly, whenever I succeed on a tumble vs an enemy, I get +5 to my next bluff check to feint him/her/it if I do it then, or on the next turn. Feints give me Sneak attacks, o' course.

Feint is either a move or a standard action, since I have improved. Attacking is standard, and tumbling is part of move. I know you can take either one of each, or two moves to the exclusion of a standard.

So, I can either tumble move, and do a feint with bonus-then next turn sneak attack...

or, tumble and normal attack one turn, and do feint bonus+sneak attack on the next turn. An enemy might just choose to eat my AoO and move out of my range, though, rather then let me do this. :P

It's probably for the best. I can't make it, and Shoruke hasn't answered quite yet.

Come into IRC and see if we can start on the non-combat, finding where the Auns are part?

Neciel's sheet isn't quite done. It'll be finished when I come back from work. She's a divination specialist that has a love for the Unluck spell (Spell Comp.) and Scrying. Seriously Unluck is a fun spell.

She's wearing a White Striped Suit of the Archmagi and a Hairpin of Intellect. :P

Is Divination the school that only gets 1 barred school? Because I don't like that >.>

Why does Divination get only one barred school? Divination is powerful! (in a way)

EDIT : Incidentally, it seems that CR+2 doesn't work as a challenging encounter anymore :P

The reason that you only bar one with Divination is because Divination cannot be barred itself. If you want I can bar Evocation as well, because she isn't going to be a blasting mage anyways.

Yeah... CR becomes redundant after a while. Just look for things that we aren't good against and mix them in with the ones that we are good against.

Edit: There also isn't as many spells in Divination. I think the Spell Compendium only has about 10-15 spells, whereas evocation has at least twice as many.

I figured as much :-/

The Luck rerolls might be annoying to the mooks who can only hit on nat 20s. :P

As for things you aren't good at part - being heroes and such, the whole party manages to cover all the bases. Maybe I'll commit an infraction of one of the informal rules of DMing.

I found a bunch of fun spells but I don't think you'll meet them anytime soon... Such as the Defenestrating Sphere.

Also, I think I lost my Spell Compendium.

Rudra hits level 14, and takes his fifth level in Initiate of the Sevenfold Veil! (to be honest he's more like an Adept of the Sevenfold Veil, unless we make an Epic-tier version of the prestige class for Adept/Expert/Master of the Sevenfold Veil)
+5 hp! (+3 from hit die, +2 from con)
+8 skill points!
+1 Caster Level!
+2 6th-level spells known! (Chain Lightning and True Seeing)
+1 wardings per day!
+1 veil colours available!

Questions~
(A) How was the session?
(B) Things ta fix?
(C) How were the portrayals of the prominent NPCs, mainly:
   (i) Ediacaran
   (ii) Bano
   (iii) Musketeers

A.
Good, as usual... right up until Ediacaran showed up. I had great fun mowing down a small squad of mooks all at once with Firebrand  :P
"DO I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION NOW, BANO?!?"

B.
The party-level enemies are cheeeeeap  :-\
SR 26?
Caster Level TWENTY FIVE HOLY CRAP for Greater Dispel? (incidentally, even Greater Dispel only allows you to get up to +20 to the roll from your caster level. Those rolls should have been 1d20+20. It's Greater because normal Dispel Magic only allows a max of 1d20+10)
Oh, and Quickened Spell Turning. That's even dirtier than my tricks!
Also, see question C (i).

C.
(i) It would have been one thing if she showed up as Boss Fight #2, with the option to either kill her and her mooks or talk her down, but she was both realistically unbeatable AND we had good reason to kill her with extreme prejudice. Let's rate her "we should talk this out" attribute.
-Assisting an omnicidal maniac? Check.
-Betrayed her friend? Check.
-Acting hostile towards the PCs? Double check.
-General douchebaggery towards the PCs before combat is joined? Double check.
-Sicced her legion against the humans? Check.
-Riding a WMD (stolen from hell itself) on feet? Check.
-Bothers to actually talk about ANYTHING, AT ALL, EVER? Negative four checks. I *still* don't know what that second threat she was talking about is, and I asked like four times!
The ONLY reasons we talked her down were because she was functionally unbeatable, and because Sky kept dropping OOC hints that we were supposed to be trying to reason with the omnicidal maniac whose agenda explicitly involves killing wizards like me. You know, for my own good and the good of those around me, like any perfectly reasonable person would say to the wizard who just helped stop an undead army from destroying an entire continent.

(ii.)
Cocky little bastard deserved what he got. SO satisfying to kill destroy him.

(iii.)
They buggered off so fast it was kind of weird, and I thought for sure they were going to multishot Kanesrae to death, since apparently Muskets are stronger than other firearms by a large enough margin that they ignore armor... Generally didn't like them, but they didn't actually get in our way much, so they average out at "meh, NPCs".

@Shoruke

The truth is...

... they aren't. Nightwalkers are PL+2 (lv 16). Also, they actually say, 'treat caster level as twenty one'.
SR 26 = 10 + 16, meaning they are supposed to be rightly leveled for their challenge rating.

The Spell Turning of Bano wasn't quickened, iirc... That's like a 11th level spell.

As for the Boss Fight #2, I wholeheartedly believe you could destroy it, just not without casualties. The hints were because, to be frank, Kanesrae had a good chance at killing Edia there >.> NOT the opposite, in which Ediacaran had a good chance of killing you people.......

Uh, if it helps in any way, I have to say the pressure of time was burdening me.

TL;DR : The direct charging into a overly difficult encounter is probably the cause of answer B's first, second, third, fourth lines.

Anyways, the ability of all of you to utterly destroy a nightwalker, two boneyards, a lich with 18 class levels, and almost kill a near-epic roguelike character is scaaaary...

Knew I should have pressed the attack. :P Nothing like a single elf destabilizing an entire nation in three to five rounds. As for the musketeers, Rae's Touch AC is 25, so she has a pretty good chance of dodging most of those bullets.

Also, quick question. Rae has both Bracers of Armor (+2 Armor AC) and a +1 Robe. Is the total increase to Armor +3, or is it just +2 from the bracers?

I think they do.

IIRC, Bracers of Armor are armor bonuses, and the +1 for a robe is an enhancement bonus. I think. Meaning the Bracers don't count for Touch AC.

Questions~
(A) How was the session?
Well, Bael *is* awesome. He did a bunch of damage this session. I was glad to finally get him in the field. :P

Ria...could have been luckier. She sort of failed with all her spells. :(

(B) Things ta fix?

Maybe the server not exploding at the end of the session and banishing us to Irc? :3

(C) How were the portrayals of the prominent NPCs, mainly:
   (i) Ediacaran: I liked her portrayal as a good intentioned extremist. That said, I missed the Irc sessions where we actually met here before, so I was pretty lost.
(ii) Bano: He should have had a more epic death scene. I mean, he IS a Lich. And WE killed him. You'd think he'd be more choked up about it. :P
   (iii) Musketeers:  ???

@SC: Only one type of Armor Bonus can apply. The Bracers go fill the same AC slot as normal armor. The enhancement bonus is seper.. *gm ninjaed*
