I distinctly dreamed about hitting blue metal in dwarf fortress last night. (I just remembered: and was annoyed to realize it was only a dream...) In other words the spectre of adamantine has finally invaded my last sanctuary: sleep

Has this happened to anyone else

I have also had dreams about DF. They were nightmares though. One time I was a dwarf child trapped in a cavern, and killed hundreds of goblins by forcing them through a chokepoint and pouring lava on them. Derp. Then I dreamed that Elves had invaded my fortress of dwarves, but they were led by Michael Jackson instead of a Prince or something. Another disturbing dream. :l

Since adamantine has led to hell every time for me now I don't like to see it. But in my dream although I didn't get as far as mining it I had the impression this stuff was non-porous, and I felt measured glee

The idea for Project A.R.M.O.K. came to me in a dream...
Okay, so it was insomnia followed by an hour long nap while trying to sleep. Close enough.

Had another disturbing dream about Dwarf Fortress.
My dwarves mated with the local elves and created many an abomination.
God I shouldn't be playing DF until 4 AM anymore. Mix with caffeine and hyperactive medicine and stir.
After a while the new dwarven leader was elected and he committed mass genocide before throwing himself off the largest tower in the fortress.

I should try something like that sometime. I've been on 48h LAN parties, try staying 40h awake, then playing DF for a few hours, then going to sleep. Sleep depreviation does wonders to my mind.
