Hello, I'm posting this to see if anybody would be interested in watching a live stream on ustream or something of someones whose experience with DF extends to reading the tvtropes pages on DF and boatmurdered, trying to play the game for the first time themselves.

I was thinking that playing blind can increase the "fun" to be had, even more so with a live audience to help or to create more "fun" by hindering the progress of the player.

But, I do not know if anybody is interested in watching... so thats why I came here to ask. Is anybody interested?

I actually have a livestream where I broadcast my DF games. It even has the videos saved so you can watch the reruns, plus a couple other games I streamed.

C'mon, mon. When?

Probably this Saturday. The big problem I was experiencing was how to stream from webcam studio to ustream, and setting up the live irc stream. I got the irc figured out but not a direct stream from webcam studio. But, I did figure out how to stream to a local vlc video player. so I'm going to play on my ubuntu laptop. stream to vlc on my vista, then brodcast my desktop.

I do have one question.... is there sound effects in the game? i know it has music, but dose it have alerts or anything like that. my ubuntu game is buged to not play sound, so I'm wondering if it will effect the game at all.

Well, as far as I know, currently the only way to get sounds in DF is by using Soundsense. So, running vanilla DF without any sound coming from a computer means that you would miss out the music, but nothing else.
