Androids are really old and fell into disuse before true sentience was acheived. Sentient robotics, beyond being a highly illegal "good", never take the form of anything humanoid or xenoid.

To anyone attempting to construct a sentient robot, I would advise you stop and seek treatment. Testing is limited to those with a specialized permit from the Head of Criminal Studies in the GUC council. They are only passed out on a personal level and only to people who have shown not only trustworthiness but a twenty year degree and thirty years of experience with Robotic sciences in a prestigious university.

Humans are... well, human. Humans are actually quite strong, and led an average history, warfare wise. This makes them fearsome combatants, but they're far from invincible. Humans were one of the first major starfarers, and the largest empire built in galactic history was human. The GUC was a human idea, but was made possible by Masai Masai diplomacy

Narvi are lizard-like beings. They have compound eyes, like insects, and lack color vision. The combination of color-blindness and cold-bloodedness makes them easy to kill by the other races. However the Narvi have sharp claws and teeth and fearsome long-range weapondry. For the most part, they are a peaceful people, but any thinking of fighting a Narvi would be well advised to take a dishonorable route.

Druggar are insectoids. Like the Narvi they lack color perception and have compound eyes, but they have a quite excellent sense of smell and can withstand tempratures down to 200 kelvin. Druggar are descended from, but not part of, a hive mind, and Druggar become exponentially more dangerous when in groups. Their history is very warlike, and as a result the Druggar are caculating, vengeful, and amoral. Druggar today, however, are not active in any wars and can be quite amiable to anyone who doesn't step on their odd customs too much.

Masai Masai are a race of rodent humanoids. They have a strict honor system and have the most peaceful history in the galaxy, with a mere 230 wars total since the earliest known society of Masai Masai, several thousand years ago. Like many races, the Masai Masai were uplifted by the Humans from a pre-spaceflight society. They adapted quickly and became major players, helping the scattered nations of the other nations to come together in the GUC and individual United Nations within. A large part of the galaxy is within the GUC, but the nations outside see mainly the Masai Masai, who are by and large the face of the GUC.

Minor races are scattered races of no major important in interstellar politics. 20% of the GUC is comprised of "minor races" and planets controlled by minor races, but they are all far smaller than the major races. Much like smaller nations on the homeworlds, the minor races act as pawns for the movers and shakers of the major races. Minor races comprise a proportionally enormous amount of the ensign for the GUC peacekeeping military, but a proportionally tiny portion of the officer class. Some minor races belive they are discriminated against, and minor racial worlds constantly teeter on the edge of rebellion. Also, many minor "races" are actually nations of dissenters and emigrants from the major nations of the major species, such as the pacifist Refuge, comprised mainly of Humans and Masai Masai who tired of war. Sociologically, however, these nations fit the definition of a minor race and so are described as such officially.

You fill out the form and press the little submit button. After a blank screen for a few seconds a message pops up: THANK YOU FOR SERVING THE GUC.

Well, now there's not much to do besides a little bit of exploring while you wait for someone to contact you with a actual paid mission.

You remeber heaqring something about a old human ruin on Ganymede. It'll take some time, which you got plenty of, to get to the Sol System, but by that time your name will be scrolling on the adventurer boards, along with your not so impressive stats. Besides, Sol is the capital system of the Human empire and they like to hire human adventurers. Humans tend to practice a philosphy they call "keep it in the family" and so human dominated worlds tend to segregate even without laws to cause it.

Or you could wait here, at Alpha Centauri. It's a huge economic station, so it'll be private adventuring, but it'll pay better. You won't have much to do here, and private companies are more sticklers for "good" adventurers, with statistics.

Another nearby system is a military hub for the Druggar. You aren't sure what would happen if you went there, but you know it would be interesting. Proxima Centauri may lack anything to do though due to lack of planetoids.
