Modding a non dorf game need help.

How do you instal the modloader for minecraft I cant get on there forums for some reason.

I have a program called 7zipap thats supposed to help run it or something I have modloader its unzipped but 7zipap wont open the file called jinput (.jar).

Please help minecraft is horrible to get the mods working,Icant mod myself not minecraft anyway I just want to load some mods I want the dwarf mod.

EDIT: The 7zipap thing keeps trying to sell me stuff, says load your free screensaver.

Sounds like you downloaded a virus pretending to be 7zip.

This sounds more like adware. I suggest you use an anti-adware program to remove it. Do you already have one?

7zipap_1320 thats the full name I think it means app.

Does changing the name make it not work cause I added ''mincraft thing'' to the

name so I wouldnt lose it.

I got it from a modloader site.

Changing it's name would not break it. Trust e means nothing to me.

The mod loader site is malicious or stupid. What you have is not 7zip.

Someone sen me link to a good thing that will make minecraft mods work liek 7zip not winrar im not buying it.

Actually, your issue seems two fold.

One is that you got a malicious program. And two that you tried to unzip a jar file.

Anyway. Your lack of spelling and grammar makes my head hurt. So here is a link to the real 7zip. For other issues you would need to ask on the minecraft form.

And not here.

Alright please can sombody help me with this I just dont know how to do this I have 7zip its now not adware.

I copied the modloader directly to the minecraft.jar file area Im not sure what I did with the mod itself, but im now getting a black screen when I try to start minecraft.

I did deleat the meta inf folder I deleated more than one of them in fact 3 I think maby 4 of them.

I know the minecraft forums might be better for this but I dont have an account and I dont like them,there mean and I like bay12 more.

Ask on the Minecraft forums, they'll help you out. They might even have tutorials.

I want you to do these things for me:
  • Delete your minecraft 'bin' folder and download a fresh copy.
  • Download a fresh copy of modloader and the mod from the link in the Minecraft Forum thread. (Never trust any other site.)(Ever.)
  • Delete the META_INF folder inside minecraft.jar, there should only be one folder. (How are you deleting it if you can't open .jar files? :o)
  • Install modloader into the minecraft.jar at Roaming/.minecraft/bin, not the folder.
  • IIRC, make a 'mods' folder in the Roaming/.minecraft folder. Open it.
  • You should now be in Roaming/.minecraft/mods.
  • Copy the mod's RAR file (you downloaded it like this) into the folder.
  • Test and report success/failure.
If this doesn't help you may want to check if the mod actually uses modloader. It might also be outdated, check if it's been updated to 1.1.0.

EDIT: If I sound condescending in any way PLEASE don't take offense. I just want to cover the basics step by step to help solve this problem.

screen Ive read about,got any ideas on that.

I beleive ive installed the mods folder and I copied the mod into the mods folder

I opend minecraft jar and moved all the things inside the modloader folder to the red files in the jar, the modloader folder was zipped to start with.

When I start minecraft I get a black screen,I beleive thats a common problem
not sure.
