If DF was real-life, we'd have to replace all the seats in the House and Senate with magma-proof ones.

This thread has made me realize something very odd was going on with the second Gulf War. I mean, Saddam Hussein had constructed all these giant statues everywhere. Sure, most of them were of him ascending to power or striking down enemies, but who are we to question the classics? There was even one of two crossed swords 30 Zds high and made from steel. The population should have been fucking ecstatic. Sure, his son might have occasionally pitted people who looked at him funny into a 1x1 room full of wild lions, but I ask you: who among us would not do the same if in possession of a pitting mechanism and ample supply of lions? Certainly, my local postal sorting center would be posting job vacancies in no time, I tell you*. He even weaponized toxic gas for his war against the Elves Iranians.

And yet all it took was a second 120,000 strong Goblin American siege mounted on mechanized war machines and the population tantrum spiraled like that. The obvious answer is that Duke Hussein's only flaw as a leader was letting his people have to many friends and acquaintances.

*Thus proving that Jabba The Hutt throne-room ripoff lion death creates jobs and is good for the economy, always a good thing in these tough economic times.

or maybe Valve goes out of business because they invested too heavily in something which then fails - like, say, human civilization.
Alternatively, initiate strife to refuse additional baked goods, and then abscond.

On a more basic level, we've been building our cities all wrong. You should make rooms by starting with a solid block of mountain and subtracting unwanted material, rather than starting with an empty space an adding walls and shit. We've been doing it all wrong!

That is something I wonder a lot... Why has humanity built up and not down? For instance, 9/11 could probably have been prevented, if the towers had just been 200m deep spaces, not as they were.

Do you have any idea how expensive and labor-intensive it would be to build everything downwards? Gahhhh

“Do something!” she whispered, trying to keep her sight on all of them at once.

I don't even want to think what IRL DF would be. They're nightmares. Imagine running out of booze and president would go at war, lose 1 arm and an eye and no big deal, i'm a dwarf LOL. I prefer virtual stuff like this :)

Or if they were magma fire proof!

Ok, I'll leave it there, but honestly politicians could learn that making pointless mandates, laws and bans will make everyone unhappy, tantrum, and proceed to destroy everything.

Rule #2. In DF, it is easier and cheaper to have a miner dig out a room than to build such a room aboveground. Ergo, we will argue like that is the case.

The most effective way to defend yourself is not an aggressive military, but a huge maze of cage traps.

Magma solves (and dissolves) everything.

The entire content consists of senseless murder, a pile of faceless naked women and zero regard for human life in general, all in the service of the protagonist's base impulses. It is clearly a cry for help from a neglected, self absorbed and disempowered juvenile badly in need of affectionate guidance. What a sad, sad display.
