When asked what happens when you are then shot in the other eye, he said that you put an eyepatch on that eye. When asked how you'd be able to see, he said that your first eye would have healed by then.

Is it just me, or did James just take a level in badass?

Very much a "beware the nice guy" type. All that like the earth. Slow moving but unstoppable when it gets going.

Ah, Sacrifice was great fun, I should get it sometime.

Update #6, Mission 6

This update is twice as big as anything I've previously done. For your scrolling comfort I've divided it into four segments of 20-30 pictures each.
Was a pretty good fight. Enjoy:

Spoiler: Mission #6 James pt.II (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Mission #6 James pt.IV (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: The Chasm Widens (click to show/hide)

You don't mess with James. Another update will probably be up by sunday. Hope you like it.

Update #7 - (This time with voting) - Mission 7

Spoiler: Mission #7 James (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Interlude - Respite (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: No Mercy (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Recruitment Office (click to show/hide)

This is most likely our final choice of god, so choose wisely. I don't really have a preference either way. Both will give us an instakill spell that will destroy any unit, be it 1 or 5 souls strong. James' another über spell is a bore hole, it drills a huge hole into the ground, causing any ground units on it to fall into the void, this will remove the unit and their soul(s) permanently from the game. It takes time for the hole to drill so it's possible to escape it. Charnel gives us Death. It allows us to summon 'Death', who will slay eight closest units, be it a manahoar or a dragon, friend or foe, and then leave. The death spell has the highest cooling time of all spells in the game (7 or 8 minutes, I think).

James gives us the heaviest (and probably the slowest) ground unit that has a massive short range AOE attack. Charnel gives us one of the weakest 5-soul units, but it can fly and when massed works very well against most threats. Then there's the fact that we do want to kill Marduk, right guys? So who are we going to believe. James, who is blaming Charnel with a conviction to almost rival that of Persephone's, or the Lord of Death and Slaughter who professes his own innocence? Is Mithras right or has he really received false visions?

Feel free to vote for the duration of the weekend. As the last(?) chance to make a choice, I'm going to give you guys a little time to make it.

I think the best course of action right now is to side with James.
Because siding with the earth God is almost always the dwarfiest option available. (Pyro was a close second, but we killed him.)

I think we can trust the god of Slaughter, obviously.  Charnel.  Powerful as Marduk is, why would he summon another demon to aid him?

I don't know why, but I feel a sort of loyalty towards James at this point. So James it is!

Clearly we must go with James. Sure, joining with a god of slaughter and death might be fun, but have you seen James's overalls? Those things are positively swanky.

It's a shame you couldn't multiclass back to Statros at this point, imo.

Yeah, I wouldn't even mind switching back to him at this point. I'm quite pleased having a kickass unit roster at this point. Stratos gets awesome late game units (Yeti & Silverbacks), but before that, his units are quite lacklustre. The guy just lacks any real hitting power.

I just checked the interwebs and aside from Stratos there are two gods who both give you one chance to switch to Stratos at some point in the late campaign:

Update #8, Mission 8

Spoiler: Mission #8 James (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: The End Days (click to show/hide)

Spoiler: Recruitment Office (click to show/hide)

Decision time once more, it seems. Persephone or James? We've been through thick and thin with James (mostly), but I feel this needs to be asked despite that.

But yeah, The End Days. We're nearing the finish line. Next mission will have a bit higher level monsters so we should be able to put that bovine intervention to good use since I didn't get a good chance to use it for this update.
