Let's Play Morrowind Overhaul


Welcome to let's play of one of my most favourite games. The Vvardenfell flora and fauna are unique and interesting, and the whole lore and history is fascinating.

We're playing without game changing mods (for now, I may add some here and there to help the story or gameplay) but with Morrowind Overhaul project which is a huge graphical/sound mod which includes a lot of mods to make the Morrowind to look good. Even the animations are improved, I hope you like the new look of the Morrowind.

Please suggest the race, class (or maybe a custom class) and what should we do once we embark on the shore.

Hmm...I've never been a big fan of CCGs - I mean, I did and still do collect Pokemon cards, but I never got heavily into the battling and trading thing.

By definition that makes you a fan since you still buy them.

You can check it on the Morrowind Overhaul site, there're hundreds of graphical mods and changes and additions (roof-respecting rain, glowing in the night windows, bump maps for textures etc.).

Still no suggestions? People, I want to play it :).

If there are not enough people suggesting and discussing races, classes and possible outcomes, I will go with a mage/alchemist. I've always played Spellsword so now I really want to try a pure mage, without armor and with spells and potions.

This will be intresting. I'd suggest argonians as race, since they are my favorite.

So we have argonians and nords... Heavy armor, whyyy? I want a mage, not a spellsword :)

Also I couldn't resist and picked a few additional mods (Abot's Water Life, Necessities of Morrowind, Where are the birds going and Scripted Spels + Vampire embrace).

So, the nord/argonian, necromancer... Who may become a great vampire (Vampire Embrace is a really great mod, it allows you to have vampiric thralls and young vampires, and adds a lot of new powers and spells like transformation into vampire and charming).
Until then we will catch fish (yeah, fishing, lol...) and ravage food shops for supplies to feed our mortal flesh. How about that?

Also I've selected the "animal realism" mod which makes bigger animals stronger, and smaller animals run away instead of attacking (but blighted/diseased are still crazed).

Well, okay, you can play how you want to. It wouldn't be enjoyable otherwise.

I still want a nord, and I still want a necromancer. For the sheer balls craziness. "Ho, Nord! Stay your blade!" "I don't have a blade." "But you're a nord." "RACIST! *tosses skeletons at racist*"

How will you handle necromancy? Mods?

Also, go for werewolf instead of vampire. That should make things intresting at night.

Necromancy is already possible with conjuration. And with vampire embrace mod as a vampire you get a lot of necromancy options (including a burial/undigging of your own companions). Werewolves are meh, they are nice melee fighters but vampirism suits necromancer more, right? :)

WELL FINE.

If you're going to be a vamplizard, I want to choose the class!

Class will be acrobatics. When you can jump over cities, you know you're doing it right. ;)

I've made a nord necromancer. And I've recorded a video.

But I've picked acrobatics as one of skills, because I like to jump away from guards. Nothing works better than a good jump when you are out of mana. The video will be up soon.

We are a bold bearded really high (nords are higher than anyone) jumpy alchemist. What can possibly go wrong?

The video won't be full of words because my wife sleeps near me so I cannot talk loud, but tomorrow I will provide a lot of words to think about :).
