I'd say the necromancer should be sent to the asylum by land, disguised as some noble fleeing the destruction. On his way, he should try to recruit more skeletons and undead to our cause and send them towards our forces.

Also, we can make our stand at Akataki if we want. I just thought that the enemy army was going directly towards Barrspring, but if they go to Akataki first, we can meet them there and do the same plan.

Also: Moar beastmen. They are the perfect heavy infantry.

Part 1, Armies:

So, it's time. Assemble two armies:

Invasion force
Krlnkir Yrlvnt, 320 Zombies, 70 Skeletal Warriors, 5 Amberärsh Packs, 50 Spectres, 10 Beastmen, 15 Armoured Sintaurs, 3 Ghouls, 2 Baneghouls, 2 Armoured Baneghouls, 2 Black Dragons, 5 Fire Elementals, 10 Black Imps, (combat engenieers) 100 Armed cultists,  100 slaves , (no need to arm them, they are food for ghouls, + an emergency source material for mutations\sacrafice, + they carry food and other useful materials) and the Necromancer.

Home force
All other forces are staying with the cult, under command of Dal'Kahh the Avaricious  (Yes he is useful, but we need secure home front)

Snack force
5 lesser demons, should be eaten by Krlnkir Yrlvnt in some evil and treacherous way, OMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM

Orders for:
Invasion force
1) Move downstream, kill\mutate\burn everything alive on the way, no enslaving, no converting
2) Raise zombies, sintaurs, ghouls, baneghouls, Amberashs from the source material
3) Reraise fallen zombies as skeletons
4) If evil energy left :summon Red imps, create fire elementals
5) Decide what to do when we meet that 250 men

Orders for
Home force
Later....

Hmm, I have a meta suggestion to ease micromanagement actually:

We seem to be going more diverse than you planed from the start, And the "servants" row is geting rather long. I suggest rather than followers, slaves, servants (different kinds), different types of cultists in each cult, different sevants in each location etc. you simplify to population (number of individual for each race) and forces (total physical might of all things we have of that troop type), abolish cults just keeping track of locations, maybe including workforce in resources, and just having the % of our total troops at each.

Hope this didn't sound to confusing. Even is some of my ideas are probably horrible, this could still be of some use as inspiration or at least point out there might be a need for this.

Hmm. Well, it's true that the cult system was meant more for... cults than... open, blatant warfare.

Happily, I haven't told any of you what the mechanics are, so I can change them on the fly and you will never know.
Hmm, yes. I think that once you win this battle, pretty much establishing you as an independent nation, I will do away with the micromanagement of civil details, and just say 'your demonic realm has X population and produces X resources' and when people ask WHAT ABOUT FOOD I will just tell 'em to shut it.

BTW, Nuke, how far enemy forces from Akataki currently?
I dunno. In the vicinity. They will attack- or at least, be ready to attack, although they might try negotiating first- in a few days time, which is enough to move everyone from Barrspring to Akataki, arm people with whatever resources you have, and mutate/raise/summon more servants.
In other words a week, but it won't be counted as a week and civil matters will be ignored.

I don't think we should get our dragons onto the field just yet. We should see if we can coax them into breeding(provided they're male and female), if they refuse, or are incapable, onto the field with them!
Also, we should get to making a slave factory. Just churn out slave babies to replace slaves lost. We're eating people at a rate of 8/week, barring other mishaps or other things we decide to do. We must make slaves sustainable. Or we could make a building sized womb to just create slave babies.
Hey Nuke, do slave babies work as well as regular slaves when it comes to giving fuel to our forge?

We set up a trap in Akataki, then? With 40 black imps it should be easy enough, and as soon as the battle is over we can't start invading the kingdom as much as we want.

Another fantastic update!  :D Loved the irony with our consort and The Guard having "dinner".

I'm a bit late on the suggestions for other members of the Eastern Confederacy, but here goes:

The city-state of Rhiale, is located in the south marshes, is a centre of mercantilism and craftsmanship. Rhiale, despite it's small physical area, remains an influental member of the Eastern Confedracy, due to it's wealth as an exporter of finished goods. (eg. gilded armour, paintings, carved ivory, etc), and spices obtained from the nomads of the Arid Expanse (a large desert located to the south of the Eastern Confederacy). Many a merchant-king has come from Rhiale, found with great respect throughout the Confederacy.

...

Battle plan: Have the black imps dig a very large moat around Barrspring (leave atleast a hundred feets between the wall and the moat), with water coming from the Barr. Assemble our forces behind the walls, and leave only a small force visible (maybe a few dozen cultists on the walls, fifty or so zombies between the wall and the moat) when the enemy army will be near. They will think that they outnumber us and charge as soon as possible. When they will all have crossed the moat, we can have our armored baneghouls charge out of the village, with our forces behind them. The enemy will be trapped between our army and the moat, which will stop them from doing any possible retreat. We can use the black dragons to neutralize the knights exactly when our forces charge.

Bonus points if we can get the tentacle monster to go into the moat but hide it until the battle really starts.
... If we trap them well, none of them will get out alive, and then we can gain momentum and strike Barrtal while they're still waiting for news.

Great plan, +1

Well, Akataki is surrounded by canals already, why dig a moat? But black imps can dig a tunnel that can be used by some forces for attacking from behind

No. Breeding slaves, whilst possible, is impractical. And the forge relishes in the screams of torment and dying agony of the victims, requires them to be actual victims and not mass produced babies.
Stop munchkining and think like a demon.

Good point. How about we sneak the Sintaurs behind their lines, equipped with bows and spears? They'll help the massacre by shooting/spearing the people trying to cross the moat again and they can track down anyone trying to flee.

The surounding landscape is forrested terrain. I say we use the beastmens natural affinaty to such terrain and get them to build hideaways for them, or get the black imps to dig assault tunnels. eather way, we want our beastmen to be behind our opponents army as massive shock heavy infantry wile those fools try assault the walls and face the moat monster.

Keep the dragons back, untill we have a breeding programn going their sheer rarety value means their too much to risk in open combat. Keep the necromancer in the area for the battle. Well need him to summon our opponents dead once battle is joined. Line the walls with the token defenders but keep the entire ranged battalian just out of sight and ready to race to the ramparts once the enemy is almost in range.

Idealy we want to capture the pompus leader twonk in the fiddly armour. maybe send his fingers back over the course of a few weeks if we have to negotiate with the kingdom. hell be a usefull source of information. his staffiers and retainers certainly will.

concerning the villages: have them evacuated forcefully but temporeraly, with all food taken with. Forcing the army to march on its stomach before it comes within reach of us will greatly weaken them. or leave tainted food behind only.

the main army can charge from the gates once the beastmen warhorn is sounded, and we as a deamon can stand on the walls and pelt folks with fireballs and magicaly guide our seige engines shots onto target.

Having the enemy army eat tained for a week would be a good plan. We could then mass convert the entire army in one go, giving us an increase in troops without a fight  :D

Probably wouldn't work but would be fun to try.

So, preparations:
1) All combatants - Akataki, all non combatants - Barrspring
2) Turn Baneghouls into armoured ones
3) Arm zombies
4) The necromancer transforms slaves into ghouls (up to 100)
5) Summon some water elementals and some fire imps
6) Black imps\slaves\zombies\whoever link some canals to make a big circle around Akataki,  some kind of the second moat ( but I suspect that we alredy have that)
7) Put 30 crossbowers and the Necromancer (Balthanor)
8) Put 100 zombies between moats\moat and canals, as a cannon fodder\bait
9) Treacherously eat 5 lesser demons
10) Hide water elementals and tentacle monster in moat\canals
11) Spectres hide in countryside, ready to ambush on command (they are much better ambushers than sintaurs)
12) Sintaurs, Dal'Kahh the Avaricious (on a horse) and banegouls wait near the gate, ready to charge when the drawbidge is lowered
13) Red imps and dragons fly high in a sky, ready to dive when needed
13) All other forces stay in  Akataki and do whatever possible to stay unnoticied

Everyone agree?
