Hmmm

Krlnkir Yrlvnt
1) Spend at least ten, yes ten power to corrupt the Barr river.  Make water poisinious, create demonic fish, whatever
2) Let villagers in mines slowly die, send spectres to speed up their madness

The cult of the Tall Man
1) Mass deforestation, who need that trees? Then we'll decide what to build from all that wood
2) The acolyte should aid us in corrupting the river, not that his power will really help, but working with us will give him an experience

Flames of Madness
They should fortify, just in case
5 power: Dig a moat
5 power: Improve the wards
2 worship

My suggestion (based on what I liked of other suggestions, and my own.) :

Krlnkir Yrlvnt
Elevate two Amberärshs into a slightly smarter version. Let them command 10 normal Amberärshs and set them free roaming the countryside, killing caravans and so fourth.
Send Spectres into the mines.
Corrupt the river

The cult of the Tall man

Let the villagers corrupt the temple and create som proper worship.
Also prepare for the birth of our child.

Flames of Madness:
Start recruting new cult members.
Send spies into towns.
Improve the wards.

I am sure that 10 Amberärshs are too weak for that task, caravans usually guarded against bandits, And I see no real benefits from this

We should construct a large foundry/temple hybrid, with the central furnace directly infusing evil into the metal as it is fuelled by living sacrifice!

We should also mutate a corrupt smith: Giant size, increased strength, heat resistance, infused smiting knowledge. The old trope of using his own fists as hammers beating on red hot metal.

I agree as well. Perhaps we could send the Amberärshs in addition to the spectres?

It's only 25% of our current power, not counting the army and cults. It's not much. Even if we invest 20+20, so what? There are no Heroes or angels nearby
The whole purpose of power is to use it. Your logic is the same as a logic of a newbie roguelike players that die with all that wands\potions\scrolls in inventory, cuz they saved them for later

Power is NOT a consumable, it's our strength! It's more akin to powerful spells that eat up XP!

No in this game power is a consumable, we can freely convert power in resources\armies\cults and vice versa.

For example we could eat the power of asylum but we diceded that fortress is better.

Another example - We can eat our spectres\slaves\followers, that will give some  powerboost for sure, but we use them in another way. We can eat both cults and get a nice personal power boost, but is this useful?

And in fact, big personal power may be dangerous, the bigger we are, the more likely that gods will pay attention on us

Hmm. In a way, you are both right. Your power is pure evil, and if there are no other sources, you can use it for whatever tasks require it.
However, there are also significant advantages to having more power- I won't go into details, but, yeah, don't spend it all.

More importantly, I will tell you this: the Barr is a big river. 10 power would not be enough to corrupt it. Also, corruption is more efficient as a continuous proccess.

Ok, then change corrupt the river to start corrupting the river, and spend 5 power not 10, then we'll either continue it ourself or order cult to do it depending on the first results

Well, isn´t in better to corrupt things like holy tempels and the priests who dwell in them? Not only we get awsume spies (confessions and so fourth) I am sure that we will get a lot of power from having former priests worshipping us.
