I think we should turn asylum into fortress and leave big chunk of our army here, lets keep monster hunters busy, while we rampage elsewhere
Not a bad idea. We could name the most loyals inmates as leading cousil, form them as a cult, teach them how to summon you, give them control over spectres and some Amberärshs. Finish corrupt the prison, then go away before the counter-attack come.

If it's not meta-gaming, destroy the holy book that contain all this story. If we can't, hide it far way in a remote place.
If it's meta-gaming, just destroy everything good.

Further followers should let be known of this place and sent in.
Cult shall spend his time snatching people from villages not-too-nearby and either corrupt or sacrifice them.

Those actions are not mutually exclusive. We can feast on the power WHILE the inmates refurbish.

We should also fortify. And the place should be made a proper temple with fires and things being made.

yes! a temple!
with crazy catacombs!
and unholy wards!

but I think that after organizing all of this, leaving is mandatory. The hunter will come back, possibly with reinforcements.

Maybe we shall wait for him to come. When he's on sight, two possibilities:
1-he's alone or with a weak group: let him enter and start the madness. drink his soul after a demonic ritual where inmates proves their faith.
2-strong mages+priests+guards+hunter ahead: let's get the shit outta there, by the backdoor. Accept followers asking to leave as well.

No Asylum = Fortress UNTIL we have the surrounding town under our sway.

A whole Monster Hunter Garrison that has just fallen with their own prisoners waltzing out the front door would at least give a tiny bit of alarm right?

> Recruit more Spectres, and send them free on the countryside or town, those loyal will remain while the rest will be the targets of the commoners in the chaos.

After that, refurbish the Asylum. Artifacts from Monster Hunters and treasures in the Vaults...

Consume the powers from those that yet resist our leadership in the asylum (If there are any of those left) especially those with magical skills. Use power to replenish streangth and maybe give some to the most promising rouge mage here, which can take controll over the rebulding of the fortress while we are left rampaging somewhere else.

AND do not forget to be present for your girl's birth. I know it's 4 month from now, but let's keep it in mind.

True; but consuming the power... consume it. It would be a less potent fortress/temple/whatever if you suck most of the evil energy out of it.

Incidentally, if you are wondering why capturing the asylum was so easy? Let me tell you a secret. I have a system. I have formulas! I don't always follow them, but I use them as guidelines. There are dice being rolled in the background.
And for that assault, you got two perfect rolls at the start, which basically made the rest of the assault a picknick.

How many travel time between asylum and starting village?
From Dolnar-On-Barr to Akataki is a weeks travel. From Akataki to Barrspring is a weeks travel, although distance-wise it is much closer. (roads and the river speed travel from Akataki to Dolnar, whilst mountains slow travel from Akataki to Barrspring)

What? Do you propose to Attack the capital? Mages and priest will  rape us. Fortress\temple is a temporary distraction, that. hopefully, will give us some power before it will fall, meanwhile we can act elsewhere

Hmm.

Monster Hunters are always a reclusive bunch. The asylum is some distance from the city proper- an hour's walk, say, and situated on a hill. It's evil nature is well known, and most people avoid it as much as possible. The only reason anyone would visit it is to ask for aid from the Monster Hunters.
It is also a freaking fortress. It was built to withstand attacks by mages, monsters, even demons- the only reason you had a chance of getting in is because mages, monsters, and demons have been so rare in the eastern reaches these days that no one bothered to refresh and maintain the magical defenses.
The refurbish option would feature you and the inmates reinstating those magical defenses- although calling upon the powers of evil rather than the powers of good.

So basically we make ourselves at home, planning as we should stay a long time, but nevertheless having a back-up plan.

No, we should get out, we can't allow to be surrounded. But it's a good base for our army
