Try to communicate with our unborn daughter
> Reward whoever came up with this idea greatly.
You cast your mind towards the womb where your daughter resides, in an attempt to soothe her. A problem arises in that your daughter does not appear to be capable of communication; her mind is a chaotic mess, with barely-formed human brain trying to comprehend the thoughts that her demonic side wishes to think. Your touch almost instantly reduces the struggle. You explain, in the tongue of demons (whose words I do not care to describe, let alone attempt to render) her situation. You encourage her to calm herself until her brain has developed to the point where it can properly render thoughts.
She gabbles back a few of the 'words' with which you spoke to her; it appears she did not even know how to 'speak' the tongue herself. Having a language with which to give her thoughts form will help as well. With the added clarity this brings, you understand what her mother suffered; her child, in its mental anguish, lashed out for some form which could contain its thoughts, and thought of its host a suitable candidate. Of course, it was not, and it was this failed and chaotic attempt at possession that caused the girl's afflictions. Her fevered speech were the words of her daughter, her incessant hunger was that of her daughter, and her bodies desire to heighten its temperature was that of her daughter.
You command the child to slumber in its womb till it's time to be born is right- a time which you now asses to be some four and a half months away- the half-demon grows faster than a human would.
Your communications at an end, you inform your cultists of the situation. You bid them speak to the unborn child when they can; as that its mind may gain structure, and remind them of the need for human flesh with which to feed the mother. They explain that it is hard to acquire; no one will come join them in the woods, and it is hard to overpower the villagers by themselves.
As you ponder this problem, it occurs to you to reward the one who came up with the improved ritual. An eager boy; one of your first four followers, steps forwards. His mind is filled with ideas and knowledge already; you see how he spoke with both the witch and the priest to learn what he could of the mystical arts; how he stole books and ingredients from the witch's house, and developed his techniques; how he then organised the cultists to steal the necessary resources from the miners, the blacksmith, the shop and the witch- a spree of thefts which he cleverly disguised as accidents or misplaced things, as that no one would suspect them. You suspect that, with the proper education, he could become a great mage, even without your help. So when you grant him a portion of your power, and a sliver of your knowledge regarding its use, you know he will use it for great things indeed.
Cultist upgraded to Learned Cultist.Your cultists are exhausted; the girl cured- the well-being of your daughter made all the more certain. The fire is slowly dying, and you can feel your body beginning to pull your mind back, but you have a short while yet to finish up here, by
-enslaving a villager and calling them out to the woods, so that your cultists might have flesh with which to feed the girl
-converting the girl so that she can help look after herself
-teaching some more things to the learned cultist
-doing some other quick action
When you return to your body, you find that little has changed. The guards are alarmed, and have taken advantage of your absence to mentally prepare themselves, make sure their blades are sharp and the prisoners well secured, but they have not called for help from either wizards or priests, still believing this entire attack a mere fluke, which will probably blow over soon.
You can continue your attack now, as per your plan:
-[BRILLIANT PLAN HERE]
Required: Quick action at Barrspring
Continued Attack Plan for Asylum
Optional: A description of your learned cultist- his title, what secrets you taught him, what magics he might now employ.
Incidentally, unborn child tried to possess its own mother was the diagnosis I was looking for. UR was pretty close to that.
