I still think that totally massacring small village in mountains is the best solution. This villages should be small, unexpecting any attack, and isolated enough for not getting help

War must be, while we defend our lives against a destroyer who would devour all; but I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend.

You would do this, but you are too hungry. First get something to eat, then go on a rampage.
You can over-eat; eating more people than you need to sate your hunger will mean you won't have to eat again for a while. So you could do something simple, then go an eat an entire village.

The Tall Man in the Trilby series was more or less a demon prince, the right hand man of an ancient evil space thing.

Make munchies on the entire village minus children. Convert them to be followers and then send them back to the village. Mentally check in on them to make sure they get there safely.

Previous Update (Leave Her) | This update (Krlnkir Yrlvnt has food brought to him.) | Next Update (Krlnkir Yrlvnt razes Ylm)

-Have the Amberärshs rampage around the countryside and bring you someone to eat.

You spill the sack of ash and bones you have been carrying onto the ground. You snap your fingers (unnecessary, but fun), and the whole assembly bursts into flames. Soon the bones jump around, the ashes swirl around, and from the fire emerges your little horde, growling their fiery growls, spitting tongues of fire into the sky. As you command the Amberärshs to have fun and bring you back someone living to eat, you lie down on the burnt patch of grass, and dream. You dream of the town below- you sense many more dreamers than in Barrspring. Where Barrspring had maybe 30 permanent residents, and 60 miners, Akataki has more like two thousand dreamers in in. Many of them travellers, who dream of far away homes. And- agh- some of them dream of the gods. Yes, there is a temple in town. It is of a reasonable size, and is well built and properly dedicated. It hurts your mind to think about. And within its cloisters, you can feel several men of faith- not like the village priest in Barrspring, who mostly just followed the motions- no, these are holy men. Good men. Could be trouble.
No doubt your dreams will have effected the dreams of Akataki as well. Yes, you can feel a few men dreaming of fire already. One or two will be weary of tall, thin strangers for the next few days. Good. You drink in their fear- there isn't much per head, but there are plenty of heads, and you find your appetite suitably wetted for whatever the Amberärshs return with.

You stop dreaming near morning, and hear the Amberärshs returning. It takes all their strength, but working four per person, they manage to bring you two live, struggling, slightly burnt humans. You set them down, in the guise of the Tall Man, and invite them to look upon you. To consider how horrible their death will be, how time will slow down so that they experience pain as if neverending. You breath in the rich aroma of terror, then eat them both.

Disguised once more as a human- the Amberärshs back in their sack- you wander off to inspect the damage. It is quite severe. Several farmsteads are in flames, livestock has been mutilated, and the two humans you just ate were taken from their burning house, which has since collapsed, but still glows softly.

Well, good showing all around. You think enough people saw the Amberärshs that they will tell stories about them, but not enough that anyone will actually bother investigating these stories.

Now then, it is time to
-do something.

We need personal power, best way to get it: eat, then we can look for new cultists ad create new Amberärshs

Children. If we can keep a facade of innocent play, we'll be much harder to detect and resist.

Town is dangerous, really dangerous... As for getting followers,,  remember our current mental strength is lower than we had at the beginning... and we corrupted what? 4 kids? It's not nearly enough for the town. We need power, we need to eat, we need massacre

I repeat: Our demon is weaker then he was, yes we have small army, cult and a nice long term investment, but we aren't ready to tackle a town with priests

Unless we get our cult to corrupt the church, hiding effigies of ourselves on the property, infiltrating the crypts, that sort of thing. If we take our time, we can slowly pervert the local religion, making our takeover much safer.
