well... you're right. I didn't think about those puny mortals' survivability. darn.

Alternate plan, operation "scapegoat":
Put blame on a suitable Amberärsh, as above, but let the parents kill it. Make childrens appear completely innocent, hide the altar and all other Amberärshs, as well as ourselves. Cult goes undercover and ceremonies space out.

Wait several months before starting nightmares again, but ensure that childs still revere you. But don't kill anymore humans and make sure that parents don't suspect a thing. Feed on animals while waiting for your followers to grow up, converting every new children.

Years after, when adults got old, unleash hell and take over the village.

Look above, we can't wait that long, our hunger will not let us

Well, the spread of chaos, fear, and suffering.
These things will grant you more power just as well as worship and sacrifices will. A reputation will inflate your own sense of self-importance, which is one of the primary means of advancement.

Yes, I understand and sudden attack is better for our goal, at least at this stage, IMO

But I prefer the idea to convert\enslave that cousin, and then, together with her go on to another settlement, leaving the cult behind.

Leaving the cult alone and turning that village into the "town with the really creepy children" would be awesome.

If we dont completely sever ties, they should stay at our backs for a while, and back us up when our more dangerous schemes fail. Basically some back-up followers.

So... Take form of slaughtered teen, seduce said teen's cousin, make unto her a vessel of your demonic offspring, and leave town with her and the Amberärshs, leaving your cult of kids behind to just... worship you a bit?

Is everyone cool with that?

A bit more worship than a bit. At least IMO. A proper cult, but not one that burns villages down.

I say YES to seduce cosuin, but NO offspring.
Leave the village to feed somewhere else, but come back to the village from time to time, for monthly cult meeting. That way we can wait for the childrens to grow up a little bit.

And maybe repeat the same scheme in nearby villages.

Also try to increase, little by little, the numbers of Amberärshs. dogs are best, but goats are good too.

But I prefer the idea to convert\enslave that cousin, and then, together with her go on to another settlement, leaving the cult behind.
After much deliberation.

The cousin is the daughter of the innkeeper. He married the shopkeepers sister, and had four children with her. One of them died, two of them are young followers of yours, but their eldest helps took keep the inn clean, and to serve drinks to the miners. She has a bright future ahead of her: with no other family to inherit the inn, it will go to her husband. Which means she can choose who she marries. Several younger miners look upon her with appraising eyes already, and upon her rounds delivering tankards of ale, her rear is slapped and pinched so often it actually leaves welts.
Having experienced this behaviour almost as soon as she was old enough to carry drinks, she soon developed a distaste for men, and a negative attitude towards sex. There was that one time when she and her cousin got really drunk after that party, and did some things that she tries her hardest to forget. That clumsy and unsatisfying experience has further convinced her that sex is not for her- she can handle her desires quite fine on her own, sometimes with the aid of the witch's more interesting potions and devices.

You take the form of the teen with ease- after all, you knew him inside and out. His soul still struggles every so weakly as it digests. You await in the darkness before the inn. The girl must clean up after everyone else has gone home. Finally, the last candle winks out, and she emerges. Not exactly beautiful, you muse. Not ugly either. Average. Well, whatever.

You step forth. She looks surprised to see you- she had heard you'd run off. You suggest that she looks especially fine in the moonlight. She blushes slightly. You ask her in your sweetest voice if she will walk with you. She hesitates briefly, but your voice is too seductive to mortal ears for her to resist. She complies; starts to talk about frivolous things. Her missing cat. The weather. Her dreams. You listen attently, making appropriate responses. When you judge the time right, you mention the incident in the barn.
Her face flushes red, and she reminds you that you promised never to talk of that again. It was wrong, against the gods, against good sense!
Was it, you ask. Do you not dream of that night, when you feel alone. Do you not wish, secretly, to relive it- precisely because it is not allowed, by the gods, by sense, by your parents. You strike a nerve (as intended). She rants about her parents- oh, how terrible they are, making her do all the work all the time, and all those filthy miners always grabbing at her... well, grabbing at her. You agree. Terrible parents. Terrible miners. Terrible world. Lets show them, hmm? Lets show them all.
She hesitates still, so you expend a little power to sway her.

In a barn, recently vacated by goats, you exercise your power. Now, lust is not inherently evil. But there are certain aspects of it which are, and as a demon, you know these aspects implicitly- and can execute them perfectly. For a young girl whose previous sexual experience consisted of clumsy masturbation and an even clumsier drunken, nervous, confused fling- which, you realise, was so clumsy that she didn't even lose her virginity-, this is ecstasy itself. She begs you be ever rougher, to which you comply. Although you are not human, and have no practical connection to human emotions, the pleasure that your human disguise feels excites you as well.
Things become a little indistinct for a while. The animal nature of the form you inhabit slightly overtakes your mind. You try to keep control- don't eat the girl, just convert her, get her pregnant (don't get her pregnant?)-

You wake up. You have never slept before. Interesting.
You examine yourself. Still in your disguise, good. Eyes have been replaced by blue fire, but that's not the end of the world. You aren't covered in blood, and your stomach isn't bulging, so you probably didn't eat the girl.
Ah, there's the girl. Sleeping peacefully. An evil, dark fluid leaks from between her legs. Okay. You got her pregnant- there is no way demonic seed would fail to impregnate a woman. So far, so good.
You stretch your human limbs, redisguise fire as eyes, and shake her. She wakes slowly. She seems briefly confused by what is going on. Then she freaks out. She attacks you, grabs a blanket, and runs out of the barn.

Okay. Sleep with the girl: check. Don't eat the girl: check. Impregnate the girl: check. Remember to either convert or enslave the girl: whoops.

Well, you now have a flash decision. You can either retrieve the girl anyway- rush in, quickly convert her, and then rush out- her parents would realise something fishy was going on, though- Or, you can leave town with your Amberärshs, and come back round about the time your dark child would be born- ask the cult to take care of the girl in the mean time (she will need dietary supplements of human flesh and blood; the cult could probably provide that for her)

Required: Flash decision:
-Go back for the girl, risking that people grow ever more suspicious, but ensuring your child's safety.
-Leave the girl, and have the cult take care of her.

Leave her, the child is a good long term investment, but caring for pregnant women... meh.

DARN IIIIT!!!
note to self: never, never NEVER sleep again with humans BEFORE converting them. gaah. And now we're weaker than ever before.

Leave the girl, but stay connected by dreams.
Go out the village and QUIT THAT DISGUISE. it's corrupting us. or purifying? dunno. Wander to the next village and start corrupting children. Remember to go back to this village every now and then to attend ceremonies. it's very important not to abandon completely your followers, otherwise they'll quickly lose faith.

You forget the third option.

Kill the teen and seduce another. She will probably kill the child after birth.

Can't be done. Only animals (possibly minor beasts) can be turned into Amberärshs. You would need a more... refined method to raise fire-burny-undead humans. And right now, you are foccused on either getting that woman out, or leaving her here. Those are the choices you have, at the moment. One or the other. Pick one.

(No, seriously, people. Pick one of those choices. That's all I need at the moment. Once you've chosen, I will update, and then you can go crazy again)

I vote for let the cult take care of her.

A cult filled with creepy children that protect a single unwilling carrier of a half-demon. You could make a horror movie out of that.
